We read it too so that we have some context and can answer any questions she has. The authors have done a good job creating an engaging plot. I love most of the character traits lessons each book weaves into the storyline.

I really enjoyed this story a lot. I had been counting down the days and waiting for months to get it. However, my all time favorite character Nory Horace was acting well... a bit strange. In the beginning of the book she seems perfectly fine but at the end of the of the parent teacher confrence she starts to act... well you'll see for yourself. Otherwise, it was still the amazing writing of Sarah Mlynowski, Emily Jenkins, and Lauren Miracle. I enjoyed learning more about Willa and her emotions/feelings about her magic. I also am going to say if you're a new reader to the series, start at the beinning. The reason I rated this book four stars is because it was still amazing but the charaxters were acting weird. -15reading4588

Plot are basic, if you are an adult, but my girls LOVE(d) these books...all the Upside Down books. Kittens, magic, flying, learning lessons...all good to help teach kids to not be afraid to try stuff, and to know failure is NOT a bad word, and last to learn to be nice and treat all others, no matter their differences, kindly and with respect. Two paws up...

Dory’s story continues in 5th grade when she goes on a school overnight, where much hilarity and growing up occurs. The changes affect family and friends, and we see Dory and her friends learning that appearances and preconceptions can make you miss out on fun, and how to balance new friendships with the people who’ve always been there for you.My child loves the whole series, and can’t wait to read this and the next book in the series!

My daughter enjoys the series and this book made her giggle and laugh as she read about the adventures that this fun loving, outcast crew gets up to. It's a great series for 7-9 yr olds.

I thought that upside down Magic book 5 whether or not what is a great book and it Is worth the $4

Got those for my niece. She loves the stories. Cute magic without being scary.

Great book for my 9 year old, arrived the next day.

Great series and can’t wait for the next book in September.
