No additional chemicals
This is what baby gem romaine looks like after ~25 days with the Kratky Method using RO water and Barilla full spectrum grow lights that were kept above them ~6 inches. No burnt tips on any plant and I will be harvesting them at this stage, no need to pursue further. *At this stage on average they've each consumed about 1/2 cup of nutrient solution.

Want a way to easily grow lettuce? This is it!!
Pro's: - A large quantity of fertilizer to allow you to do multiple plantings - The correct N-P-K proportions (8-15-36) for the base of your lettuce mix - Resealable bag Con's: - Needs better directions I have used this fertilizer mix for several crop cycles now, and it works great. I have grown some really beautiful, delicious lettuce using this fertilizer in my hydroponic system. I am very pleased with the results this fertilizer is producing. One thing to be aware of with this and most lettuce mixes in general is that they are formulated to mainly provide the nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium for the plants (N-P-K). You still need to add calcium nitrate and magnesium sulfate to your mix. So, you need to buy these materials separately to add to your mix. Most people who have grown for a while know this, but a beginner may not realize this. They do not inform you of this on the label. This is my only dislike about this product and my reason for the 4 star instead of the 5. Since you won't find this information on the label, here is the recipe for the optimal mix using this fertilizer. If you are mixing in a 5 gallon bucket, you would mix .4 oz of this product, .4 oz of magnesium sulfate, and .25 oz of calcium nitrate with 5 gallons of water. Now, you are all set! Happy growing! **If you found my review helpful, please let Amazon know by clicking the helpful button below! Thank you!

not so good for DWC lettuce
based on all review tried this in place of the soluble fertilizer I have used the last couple of years. Doing simple DWC tubs with air bubblers. Have great success with Boston bib. Tried this based on research and reviews more N better? Followed the label on my last water change,. Burned the heck out of my mid growth heads, killed /rotted my early growth heads. Using in my tub for Swiss Chard still they love this stuff, Boston bib, not so much

Hydroponic Lettuce
I have tried many brands of Hydroponic fertilizer and this brand make our lettuce jump quickly. We have doubled our turn over time with the types of lettuce we grow and our profits have soared. H Ray North Carolina

Tried to use for hydroponics, but not very successful.
I didn't receive support when asked about hydroponics. The EC is very low for the recommended amount, but when I tried to raise the EC, I had very lackluster growth. Maybe this would work better in dirt, but it's a solid "not recommend" for my basement hydroponics system.
