We tried juvenile cuts which turned out perfect. Also the waffle cut is great. We tried them with apples and the came out perfect.

While this item works, it’s super flimsy plastic and dangerous with the blades. I’m only writing this because it is so easy to cut yourself which has happened twice already. Use carefully. No longer keeping mine.

I purchased this mandoline to julienne cut carrots. I'm satisfied because it slices well and makes the job go way fast. Cleanup is easy. I've also used it to slice cucumbers and it worked well. There are a few kinks with the design but overall it works as expected - and I didn't expect perfection at this price point. I love the compact size. It fits on its side in my drawer positioned with the blade against the side of the drawer. This saves space and reduces the risk of injury. I really like that the blades are stored in the unit making everything organized and easy to find. It's very easy to change the blades, they simply slide into a slot and click into place. The drawbacks are that the support doesn't click into place, so it falls out if you pic the unit up. There were times while julienne slicing that the blade slid out of position but that was easy to fix. Carrots stained the white plastic. The staining didn't wash off, but it went away when I sliced cucumbers. I wish there was a thicker slicing blade, maybe 3/8", so I could cut french fries. Despite the drawbacks, I like this unit because it does the job, it was inexpensive, it's basically sturdy, it's easy to store and it made a great prop for my collage class assignment where I had to use a 3D object.

I'm obsessed with cutting vegetables now and even made homemade potato chips! Get this thing for your kitchen, but watch your fingers and use the little guard. I sliced my thumb because I didn't use the guard provided. Learned a lesson and still love this!

Its study, well designed, easy to use, nice stand, good safety and storage, BUT, I bought it to make waffle fries and it makes waffle wafers. Which is fine if you like wafers. I don’t.However, it does make a nice stand for the newest waffle mandolin. So the photo shows the new waffle cutter fitted over this one. The new mandolin is flimsy, has no stand or safety glove but makes the right thickness waffle fry. The combination of the two mandolins provides what I really wanted.

Really love waffle fries, so happy I found a slicer for all my fruits, veggies and potatoes!Great time saver for cooking and the blades are super sharp. It is compact and pretty easy to use and clean.

It works but not how I thought it would. I was hoping to get nice size waffle cuts for fries, but this slices too thin. The slices are the size of potato chips. The mandolin holds all of the parts, but they do not lock into place and slide out. Will be returning not worth the money.
