Vietnamese Silk Lantern- Large Tear Drop (Jewel Turquoise)

I ordered 4 of these traditional Vietnamese lanterns and two were easy to popup and open and two were very difficult to open. I could not get two of them to open up... they were very stiff and would not catch in the little opening notches. It's as if two had been made by skilled craftspeople and two were not made correctly. I tried and tried to get them open and did some of my own work on trying to get the notched to hold on to the springs latch. I just could get them to open and threw them away. I guess it was the luck of the draw.

Not as expected. Frame must be bent into shape. Silk seems coated or hardish. Color different than true gold. It is a orangey rust color. Its okay if I can get the wood like frame bent without breaking it.
