I've had this for 3.5 years now. We live in Phoenix, a block from one of the indian reservations. We get several rattlesnakes a year that manage to penetrate our backyard defenses. Just this last Saturday the dogs found a 2-foot rattler curled up in a agave plant. This has been a very reliable tool for handling diamondbacks. Obviously, you want to know you have a secure hold on them when moving a rattlesnake. I like this length, which keeps me a comfortable distance. The jaws are big enough for a full-sized adult Diamondback, yet close down quite nicely for the smaller ones which is what we usually get into the yard. Update: used this for the first time today, a baby rattler was in the neighbor’s yard. The snake was curling all over the place, trying to strike me. The snake grabber held tight, didn’t let the snake get near, and allowed me to dump the snake in the canyon. Great product. I had used a professional product for getting rid of a diamondback, but since it was borrowed, I needed a replacement. This is the closest I could find. The wires are hidden inside the tubing. The clamp is sturdy, and the handle is easy to use. It will slip under a snake and clamp down on it easily. You do need to be careful to maintain your grip until you are ready to dump the snake, otherwise you will drop it and it will be irritated (not good).

Pick up snakes or trash! Even pulled down a couple dead limbs that were just out of reach.

Love this for snake season! Used to we had to exterminate snakes that show up in our outdoor buildings. Not anymore! We can safely relocate everyone, now.The quality seems good. I used it to catch a HUGE rat snake & it didn't bend ir dent. Great buy.

High quality. I use this on my mower to pick up sticks so I don't have to get off the mower. I might have got to long of a grabber but it still works!

This is great picking up snakes. I have used this so many times, it has saved some baby birds from a snake. I love the long handle, it's a must!! I'm going to purchase another one to keep in the house, I just pray I don't need it.

This is a well designed snake tong that is easy to use and, just as importantly, is safe for the snake so it can be relocated without injury to the snake. I live in Southern Arizona, there are plenty of rattlesnakes, and they show up on our property multiple times a year and every so often in our garage. This is the best snake tong I have used. I would strongly recommend that if you do not have experience with venomous reptiles then you should call a professional to remove a venomous snake. There are other snake tongs that will injure a snake and result in them dying from the inflicted wound or becoming easy prey for a predator. Rattlesnakes are an important part of the local ecosystem and help to keep the rodent population under control. If you're capable and able to safely work with venomous snakes then this is a must have. But if you are not experienced then DO NOT BUY, and instead call a professional to remove the snake.
