Great Gameplay, Exciting and Customizable Mechanics
Mega Monopoly Additions: One property of every color group plus one utility has been added to the board to make it a square of side length 13 (instead of 10). There are also a few new mechanics including a special third die, train depots, skyscrapers, and bus tickets. The special die allows you to roll and draw a bus ticket for later use or to roll a Mr. Monopoly which allows you to move to the next unowned property after you move the number shown on the two standard die. In this game you can build houses and hotels when you own all but one property in a color group, and can only build skyscrapers on a color group upon owning all properties of a color group. Bus tickets allow you to move to any place in front of your token on that side of the board in exchange for your turn. Gameplay: This version offers more strategy and less luck than the standard version of monopoly resulting in a higher level of interest. Overall this game is more fun to play because of the new mechanic of the Bus Ticket. This mechanic gives control to the player on where their next turn will take them. This allows players to get desired properties quicker and makes the game more exciting than the original. Aesthetics: Overall this larger monopoly board looks great and offers 11 starting tokens that are of high quality. The board folds up nicely and fits compactly into the box which is a little bulkier than your standard monopoly box. The new $1000 dollar bills are nice, and the houses, hotels, skyscrapers, and train depots look great. Customization: If you want to play a longer game of monopoly you could remove the mechanics which were added to the game by simply removing the "third" die. This special die contains one side to draw a bus ticket and two sides of Mr. Monopoly, which moves players to the next unowned property after completing your turn in regard to the two standard dice. Removing this from the game allows you to use the increased board size and starting funds without changing how the game plays in relative to classic monopoly. I have also attempted to replace the special die with another standard die. If you font enjoy the new mechanics they can be adjusted to address your issues. Personally, I remove some of the bus tickets when playing with 3 people because we often finished games before they completely ran out.

Nice Spin on the Classic
This version of the classic Monopoly game is a nice spin on the original design. The game has options to speed up the pace and includes additional spaces, new cards, new pieces and new game mechanics. The new pieces such as skyscrapers and train depots change the functionality of the game and make it even more fun to play; you can omit them and play the class rules if you'd like. The board is much bigger than the original and while playing with a group on a larger table provides ease of use, allowing you to reach easier. I love this twist of the original game. Overall: +Cool New Mechanics +Larger Board

Monopoly Mega Edition - A Monopoly Marvel!
Monopoly Mega Edition takes the classic board game to a whole new level, and it's an absolute blast for both casual players and seasoned Monopoly enthusiasts. The bigger board, additional properties, and faster gameplay inject new energy into this timeless game. The inclusion of skyscrapers and bus tickets adds exciting strategic layers, creating a dynamic twist to the traditional Monopoly experience. However, the sheer size of the game board might be a bit overwhelming for some, especially if you're short on table space. Despite this, the Mega Edition's extended gameplay and strategic depth make it an engaging choice for game nights. It's a must-have for Monopoly lovers looking for a fresh take on the classic board game. Get ready for a mega Monopoly adventure!

A very good game even better than the original
My friends and i had recently started playing a lot of monopoly so i decided to spice things up by getting the mega edition. This has to be one of the best editions of Monopoly i have ever played. it adds so much to the game that the original game needed. first of all it came in perfect condition. all the pieces were there and there was no problems with it. After playing it a couple of times we found it quite enjoyable. the game moves much faster using the speed dice and you can easily go through a game or two in about an hour each. we did run into a couple of problems such as if you land on the auction house piece and there are no deeds left do you go to the space that you need to pay the highest rent to another player or if you own the highest paid rent do you go to your own space.but it was a simple solution of coming to a decision based on the way the rules were worded. besides that we didn't have any other problems with the game itself and we all love to play it instead of the original so it was well worth it. I even got it for free by using amazon gift cards that i got online. if you want to get free amazon money go to this website to learn more [...] i did have a problem with the shipping even though it does not concern the item itself i ordered it with super saver shipping which it said would be 5-9 days. it worked as planned except USPS never even tried to go to my house. it said that they attempted to deliver twice and we were not there but this is not true. instead they went straight to the post office and left it there and i had to drive there and pick it up. but besides that i did not have any problems with the product.

Monopoly lovers--this might be for you!
We are Monopoly lovers and have at least 30 different Monopoly games. My son's new fiancee is also an ML, so I bought them this Mega Monopoly to try. At first, it seemed complicated so I let them figure it out. I joined in by the second game. The rules are slightly different and there are more properties as well as different cards (Bus, Mr. Monopoly) in addition to the standard Community Chess and Chance. I like the strategy involved, and I like the ability to be able to put houses on when a full monopoly isn't owned (most monopolies now require the purchase of four, not three, properties. Houses can be put on if only 3 are owned). It's not a short game, and true MLs might like it just for variety's sake. My kids (6 of 'em ranging from 13-30) aren't in agreement about whether they like the Bus cards, but the cards definitely add a new strategy to the game. The Mr. Monopoly (or is it Moneybags? I can't remember) also make the game move faster. I've decided I like it as a change once in a while. The basic rules are the same, so there isn't a huge difference. If you want to play without the bus or Mr. Monopoly/Moneybags cards, you can--so it's not something which has to be done. If you like Monopoly a lot, I'd give this one a fair chance. Don't just do what I did--look at the "new" rules and walk away. (I let my kids figure it out.) Play a few games of it. It's NOT complicated--I made it seem that way in my brain. It's fun with a slight twist. The only reason I didn't give it straight "five star" ratings is that the game would have to be "perfect" and I haven't found the perfect game yet. It is definitely educational because when played correctly, it involves a lot of thinking and planning. I didn't give it a five-star durability rating because it's Monopoly--the contents can definitely get bent and wrecked if the wrong people mess with it. This particular game is definitely up to the Monopoly standards--good quality paper, strong game board, etc. By the way, the board is larger than a normal board. We liked that!

Extended Fun: Monopoly: The Mega Edition Promises a Lengthy Gameplay Experience
The Mega Edition is a fantastic twist on the classic board game that promises hours of entertainment for players of all ages. The larger board and faster gameplay inject new energy into the traditional Monopoly experience, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. While it's true that the game can take longer to play due to the increased board size and added features, this only adds to the excitement and immersion. Players have more opportunities to strategize, negotiate, and compete, resulting in a truly epic gaming session. I particularly enjoyed the new elements introduced in The Mega Edition, such as skyscrapers and train depots, which added layers of complexity and strategy to the game. These additions kept me and my fellow players on our toes, making each round a thrilling adventure. Overall, Monopoly: The Mega Edition is a must-have for any board game

Bigger & Better than the original
We love the original Monopoly, but Mega is bigger and better. + Comes with a speed die to move the game along faster. + More properties are in this version (one additional added to each group/set). + Skyscrapers are now an option, in addition to the original houses and hotels. + Bus tickets add a level of suspense to the game. + $1,000 bills are in play. Overall, the principle is the same, but the strategies need to be changed in order to win. Think “collecting properties and building on them FAST” as one way to get ahead and win. If you’re a fan of Monopoly, give it a try. We prefer this over the original.
