HasbroGaming Yahtzee Texas Hold' Em

I have loved Yahtzee my whole life, so to see this awesome variation of it really excited me! The game combines Yahtzee with Poker/Rummy/Phase 10 concepts. I love rummy and Phase 10 as well. I’ve been playing all kinds of games with my grands (trying to help them grasp these concepts), so I’m really excited to play this game with them as well. They have enjoyed the others, even though they still struggle with the concepts, so I’m sure they’ll love this and with it being dice, I can help them more (explain why they’d choose one thing over another, etc). So excited this game even exists!!

I'm a Yahtzee fan. I always have been. I rarely lose, even though Yahtzee itself is still something of a chance game. I have the special Collectors Edition of Yahtzee, all the way down to the version that fits on the back of an enlarged pen.Yahtzee Texas Hold'em got me STARTED in Texas Hold'em. I played the card version AFTER starting with the Yahtzee version.For those serious about gambling in smoke-filled rooms with cash involved, you won't enjoy the twist on this game. This game is for families or close friends who are just looking for something different to do. It plays very easily and hey - it offers one thing that cards can't - five of a kind!The only downside I can give to this game is that it doesn't play well for two people. The original Yahtzee was finite - it ended when you ran out of spaces on your score card - a limited number of turns. Being that Texas Hold'em has no limited number of turns, there's no real competition with just two people. If one person starts running up a bet, the other just folds - round is over. This gets boring very quickly.The highlight of my wife and I playing together was our cat going beserk over the poker chips - that entertained us long after the game couldn't anymore.I recommend this to any family who enjoys gaming together, or any group of people who get together regularly for entertainment and would like something silly and different.Yahtzee is a timeless classic, and I look forward to whatever they have next.

Game came with out dice and bag. Not acceptable.

Dice version of Texas Hold' Em. Plays like a poker game and not like a Yahtzee game at all. It is like playing a very simple version of Texas Hold' Em. I have worked as professional poker dealer for years, so I know poker, and this is just more like a fun game, that is all about luck. Some poker elements play through a bit. It is like Texas Hold' Em for kids. People who complain about the game need to lighten up. I take Texas Hold' Em extremely seriously, but have enough sense to enjoy a simple game played just for fun. It is a good game for kids and people who do not know how to play Texas Hold' Em.

We love Yahtzee and Texas holdem so we thought together as a game would be fun. And it is, but it’s probably more for little kids.We ended up returning this game, because it was too juvenile for us.The premise is that you roll dice to make the river. The color dictates your hand and how you would make a flush (all red dice, all black, etc) but the numbers dictate your hand as well, obviously, and you’re basically getting the same hand each roll. Probably would be great for a young family, someone learning poker or just someone who doesn’t take poker very seriously, which do. Fun, but not for us.
