I bought this fan that runs on batteries for a specific reason. We have a number of tornado watches here in Georgia and when my two little rescue dogs and me go into our safe room, there is no air circulation in there. The dogs would get extremely hot because sometimes we would be in there for hours or sleep there overnight. When I saw this fan I thought it would be the perfect thing since there is no electricity in the safe room. The fan produces a lot of cool air which is just what we needed. The fact that it runs on batteries was the reason I purchased it originally and I am so happy with this fan. It also has little feet so it can stand upright and it is very light weight and has a carrying handle, if needed. I cannot say enough about the sellers of this product. They were so kind and generous about everything and I highly recommend them as well as the wonderful fan!

This is a very nice fan for camping...or even around the house. On built in batteries and 12v, it doesn't move as much air as when its plugged in, but for the smaller spaces it will be used in when powered by battery/12v, it works great. The swiveling fan means you can get it to blow air where you need it. It's very light and relatively small and easy to pack even in our pop up camper. At home we use it in the rooms around the house that need a little bit of extra air movement at night. Overall its quiet and moves air well. The charging can take some getting used to at first, but once you do its easy to remember--just remember to set it to off before plugging it in....and then move it to low or off or high to start it charging. If its set to one of the other positions when the AC charger is inserted, it won't charge.

Ran one 24/7 for about 10 months and had no trouble. I set it on battery mode about once a week. Every now and then it will speed up and then slow down like the electric is bad but it does it in battery mode also. No real problem. I recommend it and now have 3. I will not buy a box fan anymore. I live @ 7000 feet and only need a swamp cooler and fans. I also use the USB charger port quite a bit. Charger status light comes on a lot but doesn't seem to bother it. Switch is pretty stiff on the new one but I think it will break in. Internal battery lasts for hours. It's pretty quiet and worth the money. I don't think you'll regret it.

Nice product. This fan puts out a lot of air considering the small size. You can put It on either the low or high setting. It is best to use it on the low setting if you want to preserve the battery. There are three power modes which include an electric power adapter, included rechareable battery and the option to use standard house hold batteries. It is relatively light and portable but adding standard batteries does increase the weight. I purchased this so that I will be able to use my fan in the event the power goes out. That's the benefit of the rechargeable batteries. I haven't experienced any problems with the rechargeable batteries that the other reviewer's posted (not working long). I do run the fan periodically to prolong the battery life. I would highly recommend this product to others. Pros- arrived quickly - Portable and powerful air source for the size - It has three power mode options - Easy to assemble ( you only have to assemble the bottom feet) Cons- Putting standard batteries into the fan does increase the weight slightly

I bought 2 of these for daughter in Guam. She just had a baby and my wife went to help with the first month or so. They were experiencing power outages on a routine basis and my wife feared of being in a sweltering house without Air Conditioning for an extended outage. To provide some potential relief, I sent 2 of these, just in case. While my wife was there, she normally used one fan in her bedroom (plugged in) at night. When they did indeed have a power hit, my daughter, wife and grandkids were nice and cool in front of good sized battery powered fans. The fan has internal rechargeable batteries that charge when plugged in, as well as a bay for C-cell batteries for extended DC use. Normally the power outages lasted less than an hour but several times lasted between 2 and 3 hours and the internal batteries kept the fan running the entire time. From an airflow perspective, High speed was not as high as some room fans, and when in DC/Battery mode it is like a low setting, which is most certainly why it lasts so long. When using the C-cell batteries, it will be much stronger (medium high) and will last well over 8 hours at low speed. Very good choice if you need a good sized room fan with potential to provide battery powered cooling when needed.

If I could give this fan a zero star, or even a negative star review, I would do just that! We bought this for our converted van for traveling last August. After about a month or two of using it, when on high, it would speed up and slow down... Not actually staying at a high speed from time to time. I have tried charging it fully before using it, leaving it plugged in and everything but it only continued to do this more and more over time. We didn't use it much because we spent most of our time in mild weather. We tried to use it last night for the first time since winter and it stopped working completely. Too late to return it and I naively thought maybe I just had a "bad apple", I opted to purchase another one at Target in case I needed to return it quickly. Turns out that is exactly what I had to do. Had fan #2 for less than ONE WEEK before it went out!! I will never, ever buy another product from this company again... What awful, cheap, worthless products these fans turned out to be!

Light weight easy to use . Takes up very little space.

I bought this fan to use in situations where I don't have power. It ran for about 5 hours on the internal rechargeable batteries. I would have preferred a few more hours. It also takes a long time to recharge the battery using the AC plug but you can run the fan at the same time, which is nice. It moves a lot of air.

Battery life is short at the lowest speed and the battery became un chargeable after about a year of seasonal use. Can still be used with the cord, though.

Not to strong for an 8 D size batteries fan
