I have this scooter, and I have to say, unlike the previous reviewer, I have found it to be great. It folds very easily-- key for me, since I take it on the crowded subway-- makes for a fairly smooth ride, and even has a very convenient travel strap. I also like the fact that it doesn't look at all childlike, since scooters are so heavily associated with kids. I've had it about a year and couldn't be happier.

Dangerous. Sharp edge that can injure.
Dangerous. Sharp edge that can injure. Received this as a birthday gift. Rode it for a while with no issue. That is until I was walking it and it slipped, turned, and hit my foot. The edge is so sharp it went through the leather shoe and broke the skin. It's 3 days later and my foot is still a bit bruised, swollen and in pain. This is my first scooter and I am not an expert, but some sort of a bumper cushion would make this scooter great.

Don't buy Hudora: high price and horrible quality
In my experience Hudora sells extremely poor quality products at very expensive prize.I spent a fortune in an Hudora scooter which was broken at the handlebar after 5 usages. No agressive actions, no nothing, just suddenly broken.I contacted its service center but also was a very unfortunate experience.I do not recommend Hudora to anybody, not even to my enemies.Go and buy another scooter, there are plenty of more reliable brands.

I got used to it just like humanity got used to the mobile phones
I want to give five stars to the merits of this scooter but I have to admit as you can see on the pictures I have had my difficulties too with my own.I bought my Hudora in July 2015 and I had relied on it more and more. I had got used to it just like humanity got used to the mobile phones. It is strongly built, looks (looked) very cool, the black-red-silver combination still makes it unbeatable in my eyes. The large wheels help to get over rough surface without tripping over unnoticed peebles or twigs. Suspension would be great, but let's be honest, this scooter cost me only £62 when bought. Before buying bear in mind that its platform is higher above the ground compared to other brands which means it needs more thigh work, and that could be tiring. On the other hand this scooter keeps its user more fit for the same reason, that is what I experienced. Its run is very stable and the mudguard break works fine.I even use my scooter for shopping, using its handles to hang shopping bags on them, many times I am even able to use it like that.Considering the way and the frequency I use my scooter no wonder the consequencies, however there could have easily been more. (I have to add that my scooter is not used for stunts and crazy races.)What cost the scooter one (now two) star(s) is the complete lack of any support, or a support of spare parts crazily overpriced (without the postage from Germany). It goes further: if one searches through the reviews you will find no comment from the mother company anywhere...I had a few issues and why not list them here:- the plugs at both ends of the handles keep coming out, it is annoying and can be dangerous too;- one day the peg that clicks in the nandlebar shot out and disappeared, ridiculously unreplacable, the wire bit sticking out keeps hurting my hands and damaging clothing;- I need a new mudguard, is that a problem? Obviously. I saw this hole once on somebody's scooter at Holborn, London a year ago foreshadowing the future;- fourth picture shows a replaced bolt, fortunately I lost it while shopping, unfortunately this was before work so I had to carry the thing everywhere instead of riding...- I also have bearing issues, though strangely the replacement bearings all broke in three weeks so had to put the old ones back; but there is a funny friction noise coming from the wheel no matter what I do to solve it, I suspect that pipe cylinder between the bearings within the wheel. So Come on Hudora, you can do better than this! I do not want to buy a new one, this one still works, just needs some service.I still love it though, having a scooter saved me time, money, gave me fun and health.January 2019I bought a new scooter last year, different make but kept my Hudora. It is still my workhorse, getting older and worn down but still speeding. The hole on the mudguard did not really grow as I learnt to slow down without using the brake. The look is not appealing either which comes handy when I need to leave my scooter somewhere not too safe. All this is to prove that this machine is a great product, bad news for my other scooter which just broke down the second time in less than one year's time. I wanted to keep my Hudora for back-up but as it seems now it remains my main transport.September 2020As it can be seen on the last two photos my scooter's life came to a quick end, the tired metal let go and broke during ride. All parts parts rendered useless and on route to somewhere mid-way I was left no other option but to chuck my scooter after a sad goodbye in a nearby bin.

Quality scooter
I've had this scooter for a few years now, and it's still pretty good. It's a good-looking scooter, people often stare it at while I'm out riding and if I'm walking with it ask me about where I got it from. One thing I noticed from the beginning is it makes quite a rattling noise while using. I quietened this down a little by putting blu-tack in certain places. It has a stand which I've found really useful. The only annoying thing about that is it doesn't really go down using your foot, so you have to pick up the scooter or bend down, to put the stand down by hand. I find this scooter quite hard work to use in a way - I think because the step is quite high. If I were to buy another scooter, I'd get one with a step closer to the ground. Alternating your kicking/standing legs helps prevent muscle fatigue. Over time I've found it doesn't move quite as smoothly/freely, becoming more hard work to go faster. I've tried putting oil in the wheel joints etc, but hasn't helped much. Be aware when lifting the scooter up to step off a kerb or walk up stairs, the foot-step has a habit of swinging round which can either trip you up or is painful when the hard edge whacks into your ankle! A great purchase overall though - have been happy with it.

Hudora - 14724 - Trottinette Big Wheel
