Seem like nice pants
My pair of these just arrived. Tried them on and they seem nice. Ordered them with a 34 inch waist and they actually have a 34 inch waist, which is fabulous (other pants I've bought recently in a 34 inch waist have actually had a 36 inch waist, which really frustrates me). These are made out of proper, stiff, durable-feeling canvas, which may not be to everyone's liking, but I personally see it as a positive as a lot of pants nowadays feel like they're made out of table cloth fabric. The fact they're stiff also means they can be cuffed at the bottoms without the fear of the cuffs unravelling. These are a bit higher waisted than what I'm used to, but it's not a problem. It's just something new to me. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, if you buy these in desert sand, they are darker than what is shown in the pictures. Instead of being a greyish beige, they're more of a khaki. Personally, I'm happy with the colour of them, but they really should update the pictures to better reflect the colour you can expect when your pair arrives. As for fit, it's a pretty standard relaxed fit. If you've ever worn a pair of Levi's 550's, the fit of these will be familiar to you. Not baggy, not tight. The fit is just right... Hey, I'm a poet and I didn't even know it :D

Comfy, baggy, heavyweight, look good.
I'm a fairly slim 5'11" and usually take a 32" waist for jeans. These fit perfectly with a bit if wiggle room for weeks when too many pies are consumed. The material is a really good quality, thick, heavyweight canvas sort of stuff and they feel like they'll last a long time. The style is a bit reminiscent of '90s jeans - baggy all the way down but not so much that they look weird. Much comfier than skinny fit jeans and despite the thick material they're actually pretty cool on hot days. All in all, a really good quality pair of strides - a bit smarter than standard jeans. I went for the green colour and they're exactly as pictured- quite a dark, subtle colouring. Very pleased with them so far.

Great quality but check sizing
Very rugged and strong fabric and a great colour. Fit is great at the waist but these are extremely baggy, and I have decent sized quads and calfs which sometimes means a snug fit - not here! I’ve never had a trouser that’s got as much extra material as these! They say boot fit and they hardly taper at all and are thigh width at the angle. The main reason I’ve knocked a star off though is because they are at least two or three inches too long in the leg and it just looks silly as there’s so much extra material! I’m keeping them though as a good price and will just modify the length myself.

Good Fit
Sits on the waist unlike other trousers that do not cover the buttocks. Durable material too and very stylish.

Awesome carpenter jeans
These are awesome, slightly baggie but not too loose, absolutely perfect for me - made of Duck Canvas so very hard-wearing, superb quality and very well made, much better than some of my Carhartt. They are priced very well too, ordered three pairs and it was still cheaper than buying a single pair from the Dickie website

Much darker
I’m afraid I sent these back. The colour was much darker than the photo and the fit wasn’t good.

Comfortable and practical
I've had several pairs of these over the years but you can't get them from Dickies UK any longer so tracked some down on Amazon and bought two pairs just to be safe. I've found them hard wearing and comfortable both for work and lounging around. Also if you're up a ladder the vape pen pouch sewn into the leg handily doubles up for somewhere to put a screwdriver or wrench.

Zipper broke on first use.
How can I give more than a single star for a pair of trousers that malfunction the minute you put them on?For what it's worth, the fit was nice, a bit tight around the waist for a 34, but a good feel.

a good old-school pant
what this pant has going for it:* made of 100% cotton duck* made of 0% anything else* broad color selection rather than just "brown or black"* straight stitch construction on the inside leg seam (versus a triple-stitched flat-felled inside seam. i explain my rationale below.)why each of these was an important factor to me:nylon, poly, and flex materials are more prone to unsightly pilling in high-wear areas. flex materials specifically (spandex, elastane, etc) will eventually wear out within a couple years resulting in a slouchy fit.cotton duck OTOH is widely regarded as both being more resilient, but at the same time, lighter, than denim. much like those popular duck cotton work jackets, these pants are so stiff that they can basically stand up on their own when new. but like high quality shoes, i expect them to take on a wonderful patina and softness as they get broken in.the straight stitch inside leg seam means that someone like me, who really only knows how to do straight and zig-zag machine stitches, can easily and cleanly tailor the legs into a slightly slimmer, tapered modern cut if you so desire.while not having triple-stitched seams on both the inside and outside seems like a quality downgrade, i have never owned a pair of pants that gave out on the inside seam, so this is a worthwhile compromise for me.specifics of fit and construction that may work for me but not for you:this is a fairly mid to high-rise pant. they sit at my belly button, which i find more comfortable than lower rise pants that sit more on the hips. i found they fit pretty well through the seat and thigh (stocky leg day physique), but i did slightly slim up the legs from the knee down for a more tailored, neat look.i will fess up to being a "blue collar cosplayer" who intends to wear these for general use rather than rugged jobsite work, as i can't justify spending $100 or more on a fashion offering that adds inflated cost by branding itself as a "vintage" design. thus, i cannot give any meaningful feedback on the resilience of this fabric. but it feels of equivalent quality to every major duck chore/field coat out there.anyway, if you're looking for what should be a long-lasting piece, in a synthetic-free fabric, give these a shot. especially if you have an affinity for clothes that actually get better with more wear.

Live in my DIckies
I have worn DIckies for years as a technical teacher and now as a retired person. They are comfortable, usually the right size and fit and wear well. They are reasonable in price, long lasting and look good. There is always an issue with sizing, since I usually wear a 30 inch inseam and sometimes there are variations. This is not really a big deal.Great pants, great fit and will keep buying them.
