Best purchase that I have made in a long time
Our previous coffee maker was starting to have issues a few months ago so I did some checking and found this machine. I saw this all in one machine and I really liked the idea of being able to brew a k-cup, pot of coffee, and make espresso. I researched machines for a couple of months before eventually deciding to go with this one because it had all of the features that I wanted. I was a little hesitant to purchase it because it didn't have the best reviews but I am so glad that I did. We have had it for a couple of months now and use it daily so I wanted to address some of the "issues" that people have mentioned they had with the machine. 1. I noticed that a lot of people complain about the noise. Yes, it is very loud, but so are professional espresso machines and our kitchen is at the opposite end of the house away from our bedroom so that doesn't really bother us. 2. No, it is not programmable. If that is something you use then you may not want to buy it but I don't think that I have ever used the program feature on a coffee maker in my life so I don't really care about that. 3. If you are getting a 0 and your machine is not brewing, switch it back over to the standby mode and give it a few minutes before switching back to brew. I noticed that the standby mode acts like a reset function for the machine and releases pressure. I have only had the 0 error once and putting it in standby mode fixed it in a couple of minutes. 4. If you are using a reusable k-cup pod then the k-cup attachment will leak. It isn't a big issue because the drip tray does catch the drips but the reusable pod does cause the attachment to leak because it doesn't fit very well inside the attachment. I don't think that this is a design flaw in the attachment. I think that the k-cup attachment would work better with an actual singe-use k-cup or a reusable pod made by the company. Overall, I'm very happy with this machine and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. This makes the best espresso and the only problem that I have with this machine is that my caffeine consumption has increased considerably since I bought it.

Tried to love it!
The first unit I purchased came damaged, the top was broken but NO damage to the box!! The second replacement unit arrived in good condition. We brewed two pots of coffee successfully however the unit is VERY noisy as I had read in other reviews. If you want a first cup in the morning while others are still sleeping, forget it! After the second pot of coffee we noticed water all over the counter. Cleaned it up and read through the manual to troubleshoot. Brewed a great cup of espresso! Still more water coming out of the bottom of the unit. Next morning, water all over the counter! The All in One Mr. Coffee is a great idea but needs perfecting!!! Not ready for prime time for sure!!!

A really nice machine for the price
We've used this machine for a few months and really enjoy it. It has been a solid coffee maker so far, but there are some annoying things about it that we're able to look the other way on because of the overall value it offers. It is loud, as others have pointed out. The water reservoir is in the back of the machine, so it's a little weird to remove to fill back up. It also leaks a little when removing (a few drops). And there's no low water indicator... so if you don't check before brewing and water runs out, it gives an error mid-brew and doesn't resume where you left off... so you have to start over.

Great machine, the "0" error is very easy to fix
Update: We've had this coffee maker for about two months now and I'm happy to report that it's been problem free. We make espresso quite regularly and it comes out perfect every time. I also make occasional coffee and tea pods. I did just today accidentally let it run out of water which of course gives the "0" error to indicate it's empty. Just like when it was new it was stubborn to prime again. Again I reseated the tank a few times then cycled to steam and back a few times and it primed right up and is working just fine again. --------------------- Alright, if you're reading these reviews you'll notice either 5 stars or 1 star and that's all because of the infamous "0" error. Let me tell you, this error is very easy to fix and once you do it rarely comes back. So you go to brew a pot, run a clean cycle, make some espresso, etc and it starts flashing 0 and stops brewing. What's happening here is that it's not pumping water properly. There are two reasons this could be happening. The first is when the machine is new it needs to be primed. The way you prime the machine is simply lifting the tank off and reseating it a number of times. I found that doing this while it was in a cleaning cycle would cause the water to prime the quickest. Once primed it brewed just fine. The second reason relates to brewing espresso. If you grind your espresso really fine and pack it in really hard it won't be able to push the water through and it'll throw a 0 error. If you notice it's trickling very slowly then stops, that's likely the culprit. When I ground my first batch of espresso at the store I used the finer of the two espresso settings (closer to turkish grind), I probably should have went with the slightly coarser grind. I scraped that out and refilled it and tamped it a bit lighter and it brewed just fine. It's made espresso perfectly every time since. The reason for the priming issues relates to the valve on the bottom of the tank that opens when it is seated on the machine. When the tank is seated it basically opens that valve and lets water flow in, when it's new it doesn't open very well. If the machine is primed with water all the way to the tank the suction basically forces water out of the tank. They could have used a weaker valve on the tank to prevent this but it would likely mean water would leak out more when removing the tank. So I'm happy they went with what they did. Otherwise I've been making espresso daily, steaming lattes, making k-cup coffee and tea with zero (no pun intended) issues so far.

I needed a replacement for my lower end 15 bar DeLongi that served me well. I've returned 2 other models. After reading so many negative reviews, I was skeptical about buying this and wouldn't have based on the reviews. I saw a unit in the "Scratch and Dent" area for only $90 and thought I'd give it a try. Worst case scenerio is that I'd have to send it back. Upon delivery, The delivered by "Amazon" driver left it in the lobby of my high rise. After clearly stating that "Signature required" and "Don't leave anything in the lobby" instructions were ignored once again. I brought it up and opened the package. Realizing that there were a few items missing. A couple of filters but the main item missing was the stainless steel metal caraffe. I called Amazon and they gave me a credit for 50$ for the missing items. Bottomline is: "I ONLY PAID $40 FOR THIS UNIT" Unfortunately, Mr. Coffee could not sent me a replacement caraffe. But this is not the reason I gave it a 4 star review. The 4 star review is about the unit itself. As mentioned earlier, I've been through 2 machines previous to this one. My Delongi was a 15 bar espresso machine and it made decent coffee and it was quite loud. Remember that these are espresso machines, not drip makers, with strong pumps. They are suppose to be loud! The Mr. Coffee is "A Lot" quiter than the DeLongi. Although, the drip portion of this machine uses the same pump. So, if noise is a factor, then move on. But you won't know what you are missing. The previous unit that I returned was really classy looking and stated it was 20 bar. The gauge went "upto" 20 bar but the needle never pointed higher than 8. It looked like it was really nicely painted but was very light weight and almost 100% plastic. The whole unit would move when placing/removing the arm. It felt cheap and I sent it back immediately. The Mr. Coffee is large and fairly sturdy. It's a coffee machine, not a children's toy! So, don't waste your time returning units. Just spent the few extra dollars and get a better product. The pros: 1. The espresso that comes out of it is Amazing! It has a beautiful head and plenty of froth. 2. The coffee is great tasting. I noticed the difference right away using the same coffee with 3 other methods. Drip, Stovetop Moka and French press. 3. Looks classy The cons: 1. I didn't like the fact that there isn't any kind of float in the water tank. It's hard to see the water level. The water needs to be filled everytime you use it for pots of coffee. 2. There is neither a burner on the bottom nor cup warmer on the top. (I never used the warmer anyway) I suppose that with the metal thermos, a burner wouldn't be needed. TIPS: 1. In case anybody is wondering, the espresso tamp size is 51mm. 2. To avoid the "0" error. Make sure resevoir is full. Lift and reseat it a few times until there are no bubbles. Sometimes, you may have to turn on the steam want to pressurize/prime it if you run it completely dry. Cheers

Good coffee maker but very noisy when making drip coffee. Can’t use reusable filters as they do not fit.
