Sturdy, Firm Hinges, Very nice...
Granted, it is a little bigger than I expected. Marking little 3" radius' s is a little awkward, but it works perfectly. As a Shipfitter I normally don't have to mark 24" radius in order to cut it out with a handheld torch, but I could, and that's why I love it. It'll hold Lumber Pencils, Regular #2 Pencils, Square Soapstone, Round Soapstone, pretty much anything you want.
