Brought on a whim
I saw this toy on Good Morning America, and I had not been feeling very good not much like myself, so I brought it on a whim. And that's not like me but they made it look like it would be fun, almost like the Bob It. So, I got on Amazon and found on and I ordered it. Thought it would keep the family busy on Christmas Day. We have kids that are 19, 22. 28, 27 and grandkids that are 4,5,5,7 and they all had such a ball with it. The 4 yr old is really getting his coordination skills down pat as are the 5 yr olds. I meant to say reflexes. It really does help and I am in a competition with my older daughters and one son cause I guess their reflexes are a bit better then mine but I will catch up if it kills me. You get hooked on the game and its just so much fun. Now when the kids come over they don't rush to get the Wi controllers they rush to get the Loopz. I am so glad that they had it on their show that day cause otherwise I never would have seen it and we would have missed out on a lot of family time together and a lot of laughs. Thank you GMA for showing it to me and thank you Loopz for all the hours of fun with my family and I get to practice when I am home alone all day. Its a great travel game too. You can play it in the car if you want. Its very durable. There's also several different games you can play on here, theres the reflex game, there is a music game, and several others. Enough to keep you busy and not get bored. Everyone should get one. They are reasonably priced on Amazon.

Defective one replaced easily by Mattel
The Loopz game that I received was stuck in demo mode. We had torn the tag off completely, inserted new batteries, tried pressing reset in a number of ways, but still we could not select a game. But even when it was stuck in demo mode, our ten year old niece loved it and our baby was even attracted by it. Our 18 year old niece was intrigued.Instead of going through Amazon, I went through Mattel's customer service via live chat. Within a week, I received a replacement product that works perfectly.Tonight, the adults sat around for about 20 minutes and played it while the kids slept. It's fairly cheesy for adults and that makes it funny and fun. Adults preferred the musicology and reflex master modes. This is a fun game and can help with hand-eye coordination and motor skills. There are many different modes, which makes it many games in one. There are 1-2 modes for multiplayer and there is a way to do other modes for multiplayer competition as well, it's just not as seamless. (I think most people buy this for the "repeat the beat" mode, where one person plays at a time until they've reached the max level. After they're done, the game resets and you have to choose the "repeat the beat" mode again for player 2, and then player 2 plays until they've reached the max level.) The sensors aren't perfect and don't register your hand movement about 5% of the time.

Adicting! Fun for the whole family.
I got this for sale for $5, and a well spent $5 that was! Had I known how much we would love this I would have bought many more to give as gifts. So, we were trapped in an RV for a few months, this is the only thing that kept me sane. I could turn it on reflex master and go for hours trying to beat my own score. Got pretty darn good too. Only complaint was every once in a while the pattern would be a loop that was kinda like cheating so we never counted those ones as "real". My husband and I really went back and forth trying to beat one another. My 7 year old got in on it and even my 3 and 1 year old could do a few of the games okay (it has a free-play dj mode). I would have paid full price on this knowing what a cool game it is now, but I'm sure had it not bee $5 I never would have paid full price and never would have known what an awesome and fun game it is. It is one of my favorites.Oh, one complaint the red feet on the bottom should be suction cups! Sometimes you really get into it in reflex master and if you get your hand in the wrong way or the wrong place you can knock that thing pretty far across a room (and more importantly mess up your score!).

Loopz
This was bought for my sister as a Christmas gift. She did play with it frequently when she first got it. Now, it mainly sits on the shelf. My sister is 11 years old - she says this is a game that you play once in a while because it gets very annoying. I agree whole heartedly. Good for the memory, and fun... When played in moderation.

pretty fun game.
I was hesitant if the grandkids (ages 7, 9 & 10) would like this because they're more of the video gamer type. It wasn't a big hit initially but over the course of the day, they played it more & more. They got it for Christmas & still play with it for a little while when they come to my house. I think it's a pretty fun game.

great game, but the music features are kinda meh
The games included are pretty cool. One is like the old Simon games where you copy the pattern. Then there is a head to head type where you copy the pattern adding another of your own to the end and then you switch back and forth with 2 players. The reflex mode is my favorite. You just swipe the lighted section/sections asap and this mode can be played by up to 4. The plastic and construction are higher quality than I expected and the batteries don't drain quickly. There are an additional 3 modes that are kinda lame. One just gives you different sounds to pick from and then you can swipe the sections to make different tones of that sound. Then another one lets you start and stop different samples, like a weird crappy DJ. the worst one is a mode that has you play a couple tones at the games cues and then says "watch" and it plays some little electronic music sample, then repeats this 3-4 times. I think it is trying to imply that you are playing these 2-4 tones and that together those layers would build this track, but none of it actually matches up.

Great toy just a bit too pricey
My son got this for christmas, it's a great toy for all ages and we have all had a lot of fun with it. I have given it a four because quite frankly it's a lot of money for what it is. It could also do with a volume control. While this game is good fun at this price I would give it a miss and buy paperjamz and a rubix cube and still have some change.
