Great Stuff - For the right job....
I've used this stuff for several projects now, including clothing repair, working with original fabrics that fray easily (like unbacked nylon taffeta) and even reinforcing the fraying edges of a fine oriental rug. It works great! It dries totally transparent on most fabrics, adding a half-shade of darkness on some. It adds a bit of starch-like stiffness to fabrics, so you need to apply it wisely appropriate to the project. My only complaint is I wish it came in a larger cost-effective bottle. Going through several .75 oz bottles for larger projects adds up.

Gives a nice finish to seam allowance edges.
When sewing I use mostly woven cotton fabrics. I like to apply a line of Fray Check to the exposed seam allowances before assembling the garment. After allowing the Fray Check to dry completely I then run a zig zag stitch down the edge of the seam allowance. This leaves a nice, neat edge with very few "whiskers" of threads. This step is worth the extra time it takes. The product is easy to apply and I don't notice any fumes. My only complaint is that the tip has to be pierced with a pin prior to using each time as the small hole closes up as the product dries between uses. It just takes a second, but is a slight inconvenience.

Not suitable for all fabrics, test it first
I used this once on highly fraying home decor cotton. The cotton is loosely woven, and it frays like crazy. I zig zag sewed all edges. Then wanted to add this for support. But the fabric soaked it up like a sponge and bled about an inch into the fabric. Therefore I could not use it. I am not an engineer, but i wonder if the product was thicker it may be more useful.Make sure you test this on a sample piece before using. It's not suitable for all fabrics.

Perfect on satin or any fabric that frays very easily
This is especially needed for satin. Works great. But there is some discoloration (zoom in on picture). I tried to open the tip with a pin, that would have controled the flow of liquid better. But the opening clogged up over night. Also, this takes time to dry...several hours minimum. Best to let sit over night.

Best Ever.
Best Fray glue. Thought would try another brand and but it left white residue, so came back to Dritz. Won't switch again
