Ted Andrews' Animal-Speak Runes Misc. – October 1, 2009

I am a big fan of Ted Andrews' work and only wish I had had the opportunity to work with him when he was alive. I absolutely love this set of Animal-Speak Runes. They are aesthetically pleasing, the wooden runes being a refreshing change from oracle or Tarot cards and easy to carry one with you without fear of damaging it. The guidebook provides a helpful introduction to the ways we can receive messages and help from animals in our lives; those of you familiar with Ted's work, or who have an understanding of power animals or animal guides from other sources, will understand these concepts already. There is helpful information on how to get to know your runes, how to care for them, and how to impart your own energy to them so that they are most effective. There is a page or two for each rune, and the information given is extremely helpful and useful, not vague, and yet open to personal interpretation. There is instruction on a daily one-rune draw as well as a few spreads, from very simple to more complex. This is a wonderful set that has become part of my daily spiritual practice. It would be a great gift for anyone interested in divination of any sort, as well as animal or nature lovers. On a final note, it has opened me up to the gifts of creatures I would ordinarily not be drawn to, such as spider, chameleon, frog, and others! As well as, of course, animals and a few birds I have always been comfortable with. Great set and very unique!

With several of Ted Andrews books in my library I was actually beginning to work on creating my own "runes", perhaps cutting them from a single maple branch and burning pictograms onto them. Then it became painfully apparent that I am no artist and probably would be years before I could get it done. Then one day, looking through Amazon for something else, Lo and behold, I ran across his Animal Speak Runes. This should hold me over in the meanwhile. Upon receiving them in the mail and with a little ceremony, I thought I'd give them a try, not really expecting anything really accurate right away. Much to my surprise, the readings I did were amazingly relevant. I do a "Celtic Minor" with my Tarot (sans the staff) and did a similar arrangement with the Runes. I was impressed. It's a small and diminutive set but that's the beauty of it. Easy to carry around, no need to "shuffle", and the spread is small enough to fit on one of my more massive Lenormand cards. Maybe I'll still get around to making my own set based on Mr. Andrews but will be happy with these in the meanwhile. If I don't, well these work out just fine.

These are fun, accurate and easy to understand. If you like animals and divination these are for you! I am so glad to have these. Ted Andrews was a very informative and intuitive individual and anything by him is worth reading and using. If you enjoy runes in a softer way then buy these. There is only one issue with these runes...eventually the picture side starts to wear off...I have had them for 8 months and the pictures are wearing thin..

Ever since I got into oracle cards, I've been coming across info about runes. This particular set caught my eye so I decided to give them a try. The guide book that comes with the runes, reads just like a all my oracle books and gives you good insights on how to use, interpret, and care for the runes. Overall, I love the runes and use them with my oracle readings or by themselves.

This is perhaps my favorite of any divination tool Ted Andrews has produced. It contains 40 "animal runes" in a faux silk bag and accompanying book. Of all his work that has been produced in China, this has the best quality I've seen to date.The messages are clear and precise. To this point, they have been right on the money. His book descriptions are not merely copy and paste from his Animal Speak book, which is a great accompaniment to these runes and adds depth to the included book.Ted states in the beginning of the accompanying book that these are not traditional runes, so if anyone wants to argue that they are not, that is all well and good. They serve the purpose they were intended for. I've never used runes of any kind, so I can't make a judgment one way or the other if they are truly "runes." I'm just happy to use them for what I'm seeking.On October 24, 2009 Ted left this world. I had an opportunity to see him teach and meet with him when he was back home here in Dayton a couple of years ago. He was a great teacher and had a zest for life that I have rarely encountered in my time here. He certainly was one of a kind and his legacy will live on through his work.

Having read "Animal Speak", and still working with it, I am grateful I was lead to this Great tool to augment my connection with the Animal Spirits. Mr. Andrews has contributed immensely to my Spiritual path by opening doors to a whole new way of perceiving this reality physically and non-physically and the "Animal-Speak Runes" came in in the most appropriate moment of my current experience.Great Energy and very accurate readings as proven by my own "Daily Rune" method and weekly review of the daily messages received plus a weekly overview of the situation at hand. I love,love,love my Animal-Speak runes.I have been wanting them for so long and glad I finally have them.I love the fact that most of them have animals on them.Some of the animals include a Coyote,a Dragonfly,A Horse,a Snake,as well as many othersThere are a few that have are considered speciality runes such as Mating,Metamorphosis,Hunting,as well as others.The set comes with a booklet that talks about the rune in great depth and comes with a very beautiful red silk bag to keep your runes in.If you love animals and working with runes.This is the set to get.

The only thing messed up was the box. Everything else was in pristine condition as stated. The only downside is that these are not casting runes like I am used to. You are supposed to only choose one, not cast them out. Other than that and it's really not an issue, I do like them very much. I plan to use them as a clarifier to my Spirit Animal decks.

Great set of Runes - especially for those interested in animals

Beautiful set! And handy book. I received 2 Jaguar tiles and missing a Bear. Seems a shame to replace the whole set, any chance of a single tile replacement?

I have been trying these runes out with a few friends. Eerily accurate with insightful interpretations. Highly recommended.
