Francesca Woodman: Portrait of a Reputation

Bought as a gift for Christmas so the recipient has not provided feedback.

A beautiful collection that includes reproductions not only of the photographer's work but personal notes written by Francesca Woodman herself, as well as photos of her taken by someone referred to as "George Lange". I'm grateful for every one of them. I only wish there were more . . . Like Henry Miller said of paintings by Vincent van Gogh, there can never be too many photographs of Francesca Woodman. Of course the critical text is completely asinine, but it's easily ignored. If you've fallen in love with this girl, without this book your life will have less meaning and perhaps approach meaning ZERO.
