Whistle is ok but the internals are plastic so likely won't last and the o ring that makes the compartment waterproof doesn't fit right so it won't keep out water, good idea poorly done. the kubotans are good enough they feel solid durable. They feel like aluminum. The key rings are strong as well not the cheap ones that pull free. All in all it's a worthwhile purchase.

My old plastic Kubotan that had a screw to fasten the key ring was wearing out. Was concerned about screw popping out of the eroded plastic and all the keys flying off. I use the silver "Amathing" and it is so much more secure being aluminum with no screw holding the key ring. Also easy to find silver color in "black hole of purse".

I use this as my keychain. I had another in black metal that was confiscated at the Calgary airport security check!! I had had it for twenty years, traveling with it always - never had a problem! So my finding this one was a dream come true! Yay!

I bought this to keep in my car for protection and I have the whistle on my key chain. It appears that the whistle loosens up after months of tightening it up, it fell off and was lost. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed.

I gave these to all of the ladies I work with. They all liked and appreciated them. Luckily no one has had to use one.
