Great portrait lens
For starters I'm shooting off a Canon Eos M-50 aps-c (not full-frame) camera. It's a great small camera with good autofocus. This Tamron 35-150mm f2.8-4 IS lens is HUGE especially in comparison to this camera (for reference purposes) and is heavy as well. The lens is well built and there is good quality glass in this lens. I would consider this lens as a all in one replacement to a number of Prime Lenses and specifically for the purpose of Portrait shooting. This lens covers all the major focal ranges and can give you very good background separation at the low-ish aperture of f2.8 to f4, aka Bokeh or Background blur. The image quality on this lens is great and sharp, but it surely is slow to focus. If you need a lens for fast action I would consider a different lens. If you need a lens for static subjects or even telephoto landscape use then I would definitely rely on this lens (emphasis on static subjects). For video this lens performs very well and focuses well within reason. The focus may be slow but for some that is favorable in order to achieve those cinematic focus pulls (slowly from one subject to the next). The image stabilization works great for video as well and allows you to keep a relatively stable shot without using a gimbal. BTW this lens may be hard to stabilize with a gimbal due to the weight shift once you extend the focal length due to the protruding front element.Overall this lens is a great investment especially if you ever chose to upgrade to a full-frame canon camera since the lens has an EF mount (my version at least). I've had a great experience thus far with this lens adapted to my ef-m mount canon m50 and have even tested it on the mirrorless full frame Eos-R/EOS-Rp canon cameras. Very responsive and sharp image with good stabilization. A definitely must buy for multi-focal range portrait shooting and relatively lower light shooting as well. Too heavy for travel photography but doable due to its weather sealing and robustness.

Decent build quality. Sharp. Slow to Focus
I want to like this lens. I used it on my 6d, eos RP and eos R. It focuses slow on all three. Painful slow. It doesn't hunt, it just takes its sweet time getting focus. Which is such a shame as the build quality is really good, its weather sealed, and not too heavy. Will most likely return due to the auto focus though. Updated the stars to reflect how good Digital Goja are at communicating. Although I did return the lens, I would buy from them again and again.

Excellent lens
This lens is very sharp and is perfect for portraits. The vibration control works perfectly and provides very sharp handheld photos.

Excellent Lens
Incredible portrait lens, but oh so much more on a canon crop sensor... 35-150 suddenly becomes about 50-240...

Great Lens
Love the lens. Wonderful pkg of useful items and a package to keep them together. Traveling to Europe and find the blow up protection and easy to pack back pack a great convenience.
