Compression is gradual and doesn’t leave band marks at my knees. I would recommend open toe style rather than closed toe with any compression stockings because the compression is uncomfortable on the ends of the toes

I originally bought these from my local drug store, but decided to order them from Amazon when it was time to replace them. I am wearing the compression stockings to help reduce swelling and improve the circulation in my leg after breaking my ankle 15 months ago. Four surgeries later (one recently), my calf was quite sore to the touch by day's end, probably because my circulation isn't great. The stockings I've been wearing for about 9 months were a bit stretch out by now, so I knew I needed new ones. The price increased dramatically at the drug store so I ordered them here for the same price I paid originally. Got exactly what I ordered, and after a week I'm noticing the circulation is better and less swelling and leg pain. I'm going to buy another pair as a backup! Yes, they wear out a bit and stretch and get runs like nylons, although they are much more durable than nylons. I hand wash mine. Takes some getting used to, getting them on. My method is get the toes in, then pull them from the top until they're over the heel, then roll them over the leg. Pull them off by rolling inside out from top down, kinda. But find your own method that works for you! Well worth the cost!

The stockings are great. The band at the top is not as binding as others I have tried. Great buy and seems to be long lasting.

I got a horrible rash from these socks. Washed them twice, tried weating them again and rash got worse. Thank goodness for Cortisone cream. Still have a lingering rash.
