I highly recommend the Caso VC300
This food vacuum sealer is easy to use and works great! I purchased the vacuum sealer to prepare meals in advance to save time and money while still enjoying nutritious meals during the work week. I can make double batches of food and freeze half for later date. The vacuumed sealed food takes up less space in my small freezer.

Melts Bags
Not very happy with this product. I had a different brand years ago that finally quit. After a lot of research I picked this one because of the reviews but after using one time I am very disappointed in it. It melts my bags plus there is a small dot on the heat part of the sealer that burns holes in the bags ( not all but most of them) When I can finally get it to seal it does not vacuum pack!

You don’t get what you see
The picture shows a stainless steal caso food vacuum, you get a black plastic one with a Plastic handle you open and close it with. It also says you get a plastic bag roll holder and a drop down cutter, you do not. Really disappointed! It does seal but it isn’t close to being as nice as the one you are shown. That’s the reason for the two stars, it works but not as easily as the one you think you are buying.

Don’t waste your money!
This machine is the worst! It gets so hot when making a bag that it melts the plastic. It has done this from day one. I should’ve bought a Food Saver brand. I am waiting for a reply from the manufacturer, will update once I receive reply.

Works well, seals and vacuums.
This unit works well. It comes with two different sizes of bag on a roll. So it’s an endless tube, and you custom size the bag to the items you’re vacuum packing. The unit has a built in bag cutter. It’s a slide across blade similar to a sliding paper cutter. The roll holder attaches to the back of the unit, you unroll the length of bag and cut it. Then seal one end. Then insert your items to be vacuum packed and seal the other end. This unit has 3 modes that you can activate. 1. Seal only. For sealing the ends and for sealing without vacuum. 2. Vacuum only without seal, so you can suck all the excess air out and then seal. The 3rd option is combined, vacuum and seal at the same time. This option sucks out air for a short time then seals. Initially I thought the 3rd option would be the main mode of use. For me though, I found I got better results using the vacuum only followed by the seal feature. The combined mode just didn’t seem to remove enough air before sealing. So it was still water tight and sealed, but not properly vacuum packed. Because this is a new machine to me, it could be that I’m just making the bags a little too big and that’s why it takes longer than the combined mode. Hard to say. In any event, the bags that come with the unit are food safe and su vide compatible. So whether you’re using the bag to defrost in hot water, or if you want to leave it in longer, you can fully cook inside the bag too. This can be pretty handy if you toss meat and veggies into the same bag and you have pre-made meals you just have to toss in hot water when you get home from work. Now I did try to marinade meat. It works, but you need to be a little more careful with the vacuum because it will suck the marinade out with the air. But it is a great way to marinade, just toss the meat in with the marinade, and refrigerate for a couple days to infuse the flavor into your meat and or veggies. And everything is sealed and safe so you can either toss in the fridge or freezer and have a stack of premade dinners. So if you’re the type of person who likes to save money by buying in bulk, and making meals ahead of time. This unit would be right up your alley. Also works great for sending pre-made meals with friends and family. When people are having a tough time, loss of pet or family, or just a bad week in general, it’s nice to drop by food. This way there’s very little prep, easy clean up and no dishes or Tupperware to return. Win/win. I would recommend this unit to anyone interested in vacuum packing food. I am still finding new ways to use it every day.

This is my third vacuum sealer and by far the best one I've used. I like to buy food in bulk because it is cheaper, particularly dried beans and lentils. I love the fact that there is a button for sealing but no vacuum so you can easily seal the bottom of the bag before filling it without the annoyance of it trying to suck out the air. That is such a great feature. My other favorite button is the one that lets you control how much air is drawn out. With a past sealer, I tried to seal a loaf of homemade French bread, only to have it completely flattened (we still ate it, but...) With the controlled air vacuum, I can freeze my homemade bread without it getting flattened too much and not having issues with freezer burn (or that "freezer taste"). It works great so far, and I think it will laste a lot longer and work a lot better than the previous el cheapo ones I've had.I've used regular "off the shelf" vacuum sealer bag rolls and they've worked fine, and I really like the fact that it can handle wider bags than my previous one as it lets me fit a lot of things "sideways" in the bag and not have to use so much of the roll at one time. I've only used it for less than a month, but so far, it is working very well and does a good job vacuuming the air out of the bags. It seems like a quality product with a lot of very useful features.

Works great for sealing up bulk food for freezing or marinating
The media could not be loaded. It comes with two rolls of bags; full width and just over half width to get started with. It's really simple to use once you figure out where you need to place the opening of the bag, which is right in the center of the sunken down section. It's kind of loud when it's pump out air, but that's just telling me it has a powerful motor inside! There's roll holder for the bags that clips on the back of the unit which is nice to keep those right near the machine. The cutting bar works great; flip it down to cut a bag off the roll, flip it back up and you're ready to go.I do like the "Adjustable vacuum" mode as well so you can manually pull out as much air as needed, then just hit the seal button. I tested this with several packs of chicken using the "Vacuum and Seal" on the "Moist" setting and didn't have any issues.
