While this does not completely invalidate the benefits of the tea, it is better when whole plant Sheep Sorrell, including 25% root is used. For the person challenging this with regards to the handwritten recipe, that is correct that it was not included on the recipe. However, Barbara Kokotsis, who provided herbs to Rene Caisse and was a recipient later of the instructions and handwritten letter verified via interview in the early 80's that the whole plant was essential. Not including the root doesn't invalidate, it is just much more effective for cancer patients when this portion is included.
