We designed it for the Tormek sharpening systems, but the woodworking community out there let us know it works with other sharpening systems as well (Grizzly, Jet, etc.) It sets the angle in relation to your stone, so even if the stone is worn, the proper angle will be set. You can even use it to measure the existing angle of your blade, so there are no mistakes. In terms of numbers, you can use this on any stone diameter from 250 mm (approx. 10 inches) down to 150 mm (approx. 6 inches). The angles achievable measure from 10-to-75 degrees, so almost any conceivable blade angle can be cut. The tool also features magnets to keep it in place during use, and for easy storage.

Accurate gauge
I bought this to use with my Grizzly wet stone sharpener as it is far superior to the one that came with the machine. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the price, which is a bit high for a plastic gauge. It does have a magnet in it that makes storing it with the machine easy. Just stick it to the case and it stays there. If it has a down side it is that you need a device that can measure the diameter of the cutting wheel to set it properly because it can't do it by itself but other than that....

I use this with my Grizzly 10" Wet Grinder.
This thing works great for its intended purpose, it's solidly constructed and has a magnetic back that makes it's storage on the sharpener that much easier. It just sticks. I purchased this to use with my Grizzly 10" slow speed wet grinder because the angle setter that comes with that sucks. If you lost your Tormek version, you know what you're getting, if you've got a Grizzly, I doubt you'll be disappointed with your purchase.

Essential tool for correct knife sharpening
The instructions on how to use it were very poor. However the are lots of videos online to show you how to use it. Once you figure it out, it makes getting perfectly sharpened knives very easy.

The best tool for the job !
I was looking for an angle guage to be able to set my chisels to the proper angles for sharpening.I did purchase the Grizzly wet grinder,and it is a very adequate tool for the job; munus a few accessories.So, I bought a few of Tormeks' accessories,one being this tool.The setting system is foolproof...and a must for any woodworker wanting accuracy in the sharpening of chisels and other tools.I highly recommend both the Grizzly wet grinder,and the Tormek sharpening tool.

Excellent angle setter!!
I had a competitive brand and it can't even begin to touch the WM-200. This is amazingly fast and accurate for setting up my grinder. Highly recommended.

Simple and effective
I purchased the Tormek angle setter to use with my Scheppach tool sharpener. Scheppach's version is not as good and does not allow for wear of the stone, i.e., reduction in diameter.
