The colour is really beautiful and it is really functional. At the back of the Bible there’s a verse finder, a one year reading plan, keywords and where they have been used and beautiful maps! Also the size is perfect and comfortably fits in two hands :) the pages are a little thin, as they usually are, but there’s no problem in reading the text. Nice and compact!

An excellent Bible, easy to read print.

An honest review of my new "KJV Holy Bible, Compact Large Print Faux Leather Red Letter Edition - Ribbon Marker, King James Version, Burgundy, Zipper Closure". ASIN 1642728659, $16.99 + Prime "Free" shipping.Delivery was fast and on-time arriving Tuesday, 17-January-2024 EST (good job Amazon). After one day with the product, obviously I don't have a lot of time invested in this Bible, but it arrived exactly as described on the Amazon for-sale page. The book was packaged in an Amazon padded envelope and arrived in perfect condition. There is shrink-wrap plastic around the product itself that may help protect it if it is raining.This is a smaller version of The Holy Bible (7.1" x 5.1" x 1.3") which is perfect for travel. The 10pt font in two columns per page is easy to read, even for my ancient eyes. The front and back covers are glued to the patent (faux) leather cover which has a good quality zipper closure. I treated the zipper with a swipe of mild bath soap for lubrication and protection, but I doubt it needs it. The zipper is all metal and seems to be of high quality.The Bible can be persuaded to lie flat, but it is a bit of a struggle, especially when opened at the front and back. Perhaps it will get easier with time and use. Remember there is a zipper closure; that does not help the book to lie flat! However, the zipper will help to preserve the page quality when traveling with the Bible (rough handling).The pages are printed on quality paper that is not too thin or transparent, but thin enough to prevent the book becoming too thick or heavy for travel. Yes you can see the printing on the reverse side of the page, but not enough to be a problem. If you want to underline sentences or use a highlighter on the pages, expect a lot of show-through. Instead you should search for a "Study Bible" version with heavier less transparent pages.So that's it. This Bible appears to be a decent quality product in a smaller size, with a larger font, and a zipper closure - good for travel. It should drop into a backpack and/or purse and survive most trips intact. Exactly what I was looking for. And the price is fair.Conclusion: Would I pay more for this Bible? Probably not. Would I pay less? Sure, but why? I am happy with my purchase so far. I will revise my review later if any problems crop-up.God Bless... David in S.E. Florida

I purchased this compact bible to use as my on-the-go purse prayer bible. It is perfect! It has a very good concordance, one-year reading plan, and maps in the back. I has our Lord, Jesus Christ's words in red. The zippered cover provides sturdy protection while I carry it with me in my purse. The print size is larger than usual for a compact version, and this makes reading easier. I love the zippered cover because it protects all of the tabs I've used to mark scripture verses. Even though the cover is made of a synthetic material, it has an authentic leather look and feel to it. The embossing and gold details make this book look as special as it is. This would make a very lovely gift for someone who would like to carry a bible with them on a daily basis of for someone who will be travelling. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

There’s nothing to dislike about any Bible! This one is beautiful and arrived a week earlier than expected! I immediately marked my favourite passages and will have to find my bookmarks for the rest. A lovely larger print Bible.
