It's been a bit better after a while
I bought this because it is a familiar name brand and was much cheaper than the native Canon one. So far I'm running into issues with the battery dying quickly on the camera, especially with in video mode. Not sure if is an issue with the battery or the camera, which was acting up at the end of the original battery's life. It's been a bit better after a while, but then I'm replacing the one in the camera with one fresh from the charger every time I take the camera some where just in case, so it's hard to tell for sure.
