Maybe buy a size or size and a half UP - if you have Anglo-Saxon feet.
I had to send them back. I may purchase a 6.5 instead of a 6, for they are indeed very cute and softly pliable. I have normal caucasian anglo-saxon feet, nor are they fat. So if you want to wear a thin sock - your normal size (if you are caucasian with well spread toes trained by lots of healthy bare feet activities as a child and never squash into heels) - you may feel squeezed after wearing them on a walk (which is what they are for!). Buy a size or half size up.
