[JAPAN PREMIUMS] NERI UME - Umeboshi (Japanese Pickled Plums) Paste in Plastic Tube (1.41 oz)

I am completely satisfied with this product. It tastes exactly like umebosi, and ingredients are the way Japanese people make umebosi, nothing but plums and salt. I’ll definitely buy this “Neri ume “ again.

This is my favorite ❤️ sometimes I like to smear a bit in the center of an onigiri for a flavor burst, but sometimes I like to mix it with the rice so the taste is distributed throughout every bite. It's also delicious mixed into ochazuke

I love this stuff! I first bought it when I was at Tokyo Central, in West Covina, CA (March 2020). Well, sadly I don't live in good ol' Califas (I'm a CA native but have lived in NM all my life) and one cannot buy Japanese goodies/ingredients/groceries where I live. Tokyo Central hasn't allowed online orders for the past few months, so I am thrilled to death I found the umeboshi paste here on Amazon. This is where I am buying the umeboshi paste from now on. This stuff is so good when adding it inside of onigiri (and other rice-ball shapes, such as a sakura shape). The expiration date on the product is still a long way off, but I use the umeboshi paste well before the exp. date. My son (5 1/2) loves it, too.

I’d never had umeboshi before, but I watched a YouTube on how to use it and had to try it!I didn’t want to spend a lot just in case I hated it, so I chose this one to try since it was more affordable then the whole plum packages. The tube is easy to dispense a small amount, and it is easy to store in the fridge.I can’t compare to other umeboshi paste because with haven’t had it yet, but this added the perfect salty/sour to my rice and it was really good on a tuna mayo sandwich. I will purchase again once it’s back in stock!

I have tried a few other products but this ones flavor and thickness is much better. I will not be buying any other product again.

Love the tartness of this. There is right amount of sweetness to make this paste perfect for anyone's palette.

Good flavor and simple ingredients. So many umeboshi paste products in the stores contain unnecessary sweeteners, MSG, etc. Though a little pricey, this tube is the ideal easy-to-use packaging.
