Speedball Linozip Safety Linoleum Cutters - 5 Cutter Assortment Pack Perfect for Beginners, Includes Lino Handle

Bought these to carve pumpkins when I hit the limits of the little kits they sell at big box stores. Works great for that. The chuck was a bit finicky to get the blades in right, but after a few tires it wasn’t that bad. It is cool that the blades store in the handle and it is big enough to fit a few more in there. Handle is a good shape to hold.

This Halloween, I didn't want to carve my pumpkins in the traditional sense (cutting out holes in the pumpkin). I wanted to do more than that and the Speedball fit the bill perfectly. Sure, it's meant for carving stamps, but the principle is the same. It goes through the thick skin easily and requires little effort.I was able to do a full face carving of Walter White (from Breaking Bad) in about two hours with this product. I was really impressed the results.I wish they made the cutting tips out of stainless steel. That would really help cut down on the rusting.Also, the collet is a bit difficult to use. The cutting tips tend to get stuck when unscrewing them.

Although this is compact, I am use to the straight edge handles. It was harder for me to get use to the curved blades to cut with. Hence the lesser star value. Good price, just not for me.

just what I was looking for! the tool pieces themselves can be a bit of a challenge to remove when switching out tips, but not too much of a challenge.

I have a hard time distinguishing the different cutting nibs. They tend to crumble the speedball gels rather than cut. They are potentially easier and safer to use, but I am not seeing fine line capacity.

We purchased this so we could remove some of the rind on our pumpkins - but leave some behind so it would glow. Worked like a charm! The different blade options came in handy with some of the more intricate parts of our design.We also like the storage in the handle and the fact that we could throw it in the dishwasher and it came out like new. This is a great little tool.

These are the best, and only option at this quality level. They are highly functional, and the blades are sharp. Careful if you are a novice. It is very easy to cut yourself.

Very hard to use, would not recommend. Accidentally ordered this safety version instead of the regular version for my art school college student. To cut the linoleum you have to drag the knife through the linoleum towards you instead of cutting away from you.
