XENOMIX SHG-NX4000 Car CD Player Slot Mount Holder for iPad Galaxy Tablet

I tried installing it on a Mustang 2014. However, it does feel it is too far away from the dash looking very post bought. I was looking something else that would look as it belongs to the car. I did notice it does tend to vibrate too much, a Samsung Galaxy tab 8.9 seems to be too heavy for it as the mechanism that hold it to a certain level tends to go down with vibration.

The CD slot holder works nicely and holds my ipad4 with little wobble. However the mechanism that allows the unit to slide up down down is useless. It will not lock in place and keeps sliding down.

I have used this mount with an Galaxy Tab 7, Motorola Xoom and an ipad (both ~10" tablets), and in several cars (Nissan Sentra, Mazda5, and Toyota Tacoma). It works great - it holds the 7" tablet with no problem at all, and if you use the little supporting "leg", it even holds the 10" tablets very secure and stable. The only issue we've had was in a friend's Toyota Tacoma, the CD slot is completely vertical (not leaned back at all), and with a full-size ipad, it still didn't want to stay in the slot well, and would eventually work its way loose. Since the Tacoma isn't my car (and I wasn't the one testing it there), I love this mount and use it all the time.

This thing is put together with the most flimsy, breakable parts ever! Its spring mounted so it would help if the springs would stay in place to keep the tablet secure, but the springs came unattached after 2 uses. The interchangeable mounting brackets are impossible to remove or replace. The vertical adjustment fails no matter how hard you tighten the screw, if you hit a bump in your car, the entire device moves down about 5 inches. Product is literally thrown together from scrap plastic and very flimsy and weak. This product is not practical. The idea is there but the engineering is a strikeout.

The concept is a good one but doesn't work well in all cars, it depends on where the CD player is located. For my main vehicle the fit is not so great but it I have find another slit that I can use by my cup holder that works a little better.

Fit well into my Audi A6 cd slot. Using it with my Nexus 7. Very sturdy, no vibration or shaking even when driving over speedbumps. Flexible enough to adjust the angle of the tablet
