Hoosier Hill Farm Whole Milk Powder, 25LB BULK (Pack of 1)

I wasn't very familiar with using dairy powder before, but I've been really enjoying adding this milk powder from Hoosier Hill Farm to my baked goods recently. It lends the most amazing milk aroma to my bakes and I really like that it is 100% milk with no additives in it. I may try adding milk powder to my smoothies and soups in the near future because I don't usually keep milk in the fridge that often and having a shelf stable version of milk in the pantry really comes in handy.

Pleasantly surprised by this milk. It is great used in baking, which is how I use it. I put some in my bread machine so that I can have milk in my baked bread in the morning without having to worry about milk going bad.

I use this to make homemade single origin craft bean-to-bar chocolate, this full fat whole milk powder is easy to use and measure. It gives my chocolate a very creamy mouth feel without overpowering the subtle flavor notes of my cacao beans. Definitely high quality, will be purchasing again.

I'll admit that I got this with thr intention of mixing it in with my water and protein powder on the go. Yeaaaah, it didn't work out so great at all. I wouldn't recommend using it for that. What I would recommend it for, however, is baking. It's actually pretty good for that! Unfortunately, I don't do a whole lot of baking with my low carb lifestyle, so I doubt I'll use the whole container.

I bought this powder (rather than the grocery store powdered milk) because I needed it for a recipe for a sweetened, buttery baked corn flake filling for cupcakes. After mixing the corn flakes with the butter, sugar and whole milk powder, I baked and crushed them for the cupcakes. The flavor that this milk powder added was amazing!Whether you will be using it for mixing whole milk or in baking recipes, this milk powder is outstanding. It has a great flavor and dissolves easily. It adds so much richness because it IS whole milk. It's a great value for the money.

As a first time user of the whole dry milk, I am very impressed with this product. I was out of milk and used this in my oatmeal and it was great. I'm sure it will make very good gravy and be can be used for any whole milk need.

For $50 you can expect to make about 6 gallons of milk, or you can water it down and possibly make 7 gallons. If you water it down It will taste like reduced milk. It's pricey, so 3 stars is a bit generous. I will try the 400 ounce.
