Amazing Bike for HIIT Training or Rehab!
PROS: Commercial quality. Well-made and thus far durable. Heavy gauge steel where required. It’s heavy. Simple to use display that can be programed/customized for your workout. Just bike, time, distance, intervals, etc. Yes, it will give you a workout like you read about. The harder you peddle or row, the harder it gets. You can put your feet up on the pegs and only use your arms. Would I buy it again? Absolutely!!! CONS: Since it is either commercial quality or nearly so, the most comfortable seat position (up & down) may challenging to achieve. The distance between the seat adjustment settings is about an inch. So, if you’re used to a mountain/road bike seat post, you may not get the position you are completely comfortable with. The seat does forward and backward like a normal bicycle. The CONS are minor and don’t detract from getting out what you put into it. ASSEMBLY TIPS: The bike came extremely well packaged. Ensure you check all of the packaging for assembly materials. If you’re assembling this by yourself (I did), you’ll need the following: 1) Two pads or blankets to assemble the bike on (the base is not attached and it will scratch a floor or snag a carpet). 2) A socket set and separate open-faced 11-13mm crescent wrenches (or an adjustable crescent) makes assembly easier. 3) As mentioned in previous reviews -- liquid thread lockers to keep the nuts/bolts in place. 4) A box cutter or knife to remove the packing tape. 5) Needle-nosed pliers. 6) Philips head screw driver – small. I hope the above helps. The bike is exactly what I wanted. I follow the maintenance plan in the manual and so far I have had no problems.

Gets the job done
Assembly time took about 3-4 hours for me. I had a hard time getting the peddle to attach to the moving bar but eventually got it worked out after leaving 2 of the washers out from the rotating bar. It didn't affect the use of the bike at all for me. The bike itself is very sturdy, it doesn't shake or move around while riding. I wouldn't say this is a quiet machine unless you peddle real slow. It doesn't eat up a lot of room space either. If you're looking to burn some calories and work up a sweat, this bike will do it. It's affordable, the seat moves up and down and slides back and forth to accommodate for various heights. I'm 5'2" and I'd say it's pretty comfortable after you start using it for a few days. Your butt will be sore if you aren't used to riding bikes, or you can always buy a cushioned seat cover until you get used to it. Other than the hiccup during assembly, this bike is excellent to get a good cardio workout.

Bearings everywhere, very heavy duty.
I've broken arms off of cheaper models and the arms are great for rebuilding a torn rotator cuff and for building up chest and back muscles. These arms are not going to break. I remove the seat and operate the arms. I had to weigh down the cheaper bike that I sat out for the garbage this morning but not this bike. It is heavy and heavy duty. A great purchase for home equipment that I expect to get 20 years from.

a lot for the money
I needed an exercise bike but I didn't want to spend $800.00, this was great at a little over 200. It has a set resistance but that's OK, it will give you a workout. It is sturdy and easy to assemble and does what it is supposed to, great value

Broke after a few weeks of light use.
It worked fine for a few weeks then all of a sudden started making a loud noise and got hard to pedal. The crank and fan area is totally enclosed so there was no way to see what the problem was. Had to return. In addition, but not a product issue necessarily, I didn’t like that there was no way to adjust the pedaling difficulty, and there was no way to hold onto anything other than the moving arms if you wanted to ride it like a real bike. Also, a warning for other bike commuters like I was before social distancing moved my job to telework, I rode 15 miles a day, for years, no knee problems at all. After a few rides on this bike my knees started hurting a lot. I was going to try to power through, figuring it was just using muscles I didn’t usually on my regular bike, but it was painful, and now, after returning the bike and not riding it for a week, my knees still hurt and I’m worried I’ve damaged them. So all in all, a bad experience for me.

Air650 is Commercial Quality and Beautiful!
Pros: Easy to assemble, instructions are easy to follow, and all tools and hardware included. Cons: On the heavy side, the fan is nice but will blow nearby papers, and I wish there is a holder for drink/phone. Overall: The Pros considerably outweigh the Cons. I love the engineering, design, look, quality, and workout results of the Air650. Well done Xterra!

Review after 1.5 years. Great bike, not durable.
I bought this bike in Fall 2023. Great bike. Perfect for home gym warm ups, HIITs, and endurance rides. Less than a year into use, in July 2024, the left pole snapped, then yesterday Feb 2025 the right pole snapped. The first replacement was free for the left side. This second replacement for the right side will be 30 for the part and 10 for shipping. I used this bike 1-4x a week. Sometimes less, being out of town for extended periods. Im expecting the poles to keep snapping about once a year. Very frustrating because I really love this bike otherwise!
