It worked!
I got this as a present for my dad who is a landscaper but I tested it out first before I gave it to him. First off the instructions came in english for me. There are these little beads inside that get larger when you pour water over the middle section of the bandana(you can tell where to pour the water by these sewn in white lines). So once the beads blow up the middle section of the bandana puffs up and you have to knead the beads in the bandana evenly so you feel cool all over. I did this for like 5 minutes(although I don't have to do this very often because the beads stay firmly in place). Once the beads were kneaded evenly and puffed up with water I put the bandana in the freezer overnight. When I woke up I let it thaw a little(for like 30 minutes which is the time it takes the average person to get ready for work or school) until I could bend it around my neck. And since my room in the attic is the hottest part of the house if you turn off the air-conditioning, I decided to test it out there. And I didn't feel the heat at all! The bandana cools my neck so the rest of my body kinda doesn't sense the heat because of the cooling emphasis on the neck. The cooling effect lasted for three hours. So I would definitely recommend it.

Great for summer or hot flashes
Love these in summer and for Hot Flashes. The price is cheap and the quality is not so bad for price. These are mass produced and one had a small rip in the fabric. But they do exactly what they say they do.

Just okay
From the advertisements I assumed this would remain cool much longer than it did. While it was cool--maybe a half hour--it was okay, however, once it warms its irritating. Its then difficult to cool it unless you bring your own cooler of ice. You need to soak it for a while to get it hydrated and cool so public ice or water is not really an option. Its also slimmer than I had anticipated so not much of your neck is actually cooled. This one looks nice though.

Terrible Quality
I bought these for a trip to Vegas. We soaked them and when we pulled them out of the water to put them on there were beads coming out of where the stitching was on both ends of both ties I had purchased. Also I noticed there was a small rip in one of them. Needless to say we were not happy as we were very warm and looking for some relief. If you want something that works and does not spill beads all over you while wearing...buy another brand. Very unhappy. I rate it a zero on a scale from 1 to 10. It only got a star from me because it was a requirement to post this.

Nearly perfect.
Nearly perfect...I went a bit too far and put it in the freezer... does not work like that, it gets stiff...But in the fridge it gets fresh enough to last for a good 10 minutes. I expected more, longer use.Looks good and fits nicely.

Neck Cooling Scarf
When the scarf first arrive it didn't look for all the world that it was going to do much of anything. It was a flat piece of cloth that had a few beads of something inside the fabric. The package was covered in Chinese writting...so the instructions weren't much help. Anyway, I soaked the scarf in cold water for about 15 minutes and was surprised when it got swollen up! It's been a couple of days since I first hydrated it and it's still partially swollen and cold! The Cooling Scarf will come in handy for working out side or outdoor concerts!

These really worked for this menapausal woman who can't stand the heat.
I used this on a recent June trip to France and Holland. For me these cooling neck-ties work wonders for hot flashes and just general hot climates. When they get warm, I just pull it out from my neck a bit - hold it in the air for a few seconds, reposition and immediately it's cool on my neck once again. When you soak and wear, it'll last without a re-soak for a few days. The water soaks into these beads and fills them up making them like jelly. When the water evaporates completely, you have a flat scarf with tiny hard beads in it.If you need to cool down even more, just pour some water on it again or give it a quick re-soak - then a gentle ring-out and voila - it'll be nice and chilly once again. I even wore these to bed when we had a room with no air conditioning (which happened when we stayed at a French B & B). These really work for me because I don't do heat.

This one is no good at all compared to the one that I bought ...
This one is no good at all compared to the one that I bought in Australia in 1988. It does not keep cool for longer than 15 minutes. So I bought another Body Cooler Neck Wrap made in Australia. That one is much better.
