Liquid Wrench is a very high quality lubricant for anything that requires white lithium grease. My car doors were making a really annoying noise when I opened or closed them. I sprayed a small amount of Liquid Wrench on all of the hinges and the noise was instantly eliminated. I also sprayed the hinges on my outdoor lounge chairs, which were extremely difficult to open. Immediately after using Liquid Wrench, they open and close smoothly. The key to using this product, is to do so with moderation. If you overspray, it's extremely difficult to remove the excess. The extension tube that's included with the can is very useful for reaching tight places.

-1 star because this smells horrific and makes (some) people sick. You may ask, it's grease so why would you consider its odor? Because you can't help it - that's why -- it's incredibly pervasive and strong! That said, it works very well as a go-to general-use lubricant/grease. So far, I have used it on squeaking hinges, rusty tool parts, a vice screw, some 20-50 lb. leverage points and a few other metal things --- and it worked great so far. When it comes out of the bottle, it is extremely thick and very foamy. This means that it is great to blast into a tight space -- for as it magically expands, it thoroughly coats all hidden surfaces and pushes into tiny gaps and holes. That's what I'm talking about. The foam settles down quickly and you can then evaluate its coverage (as long as you dont puke at the stench). The grease (as is said) is quite tacky and sticks quite well to applied surfaces. NICE. As much as I love its effectiveness, I find myself wincing and hesitating to use it because it is the worst smelling, most persistently stinking petroleum chemical I can remember using. It can literally make you dizzy, sick and give immediate headaches. You might as well use a warm dish of petro as aromatherapy. I will not use it indoors or on any indoor item (I did this once and regretted it for a few days). So, I put on gloves, wait for a breeze, and apply this to garage tools and outside objects OUTSIDE and quickly leave sprayed objects far away from living things for 24 hours especially people and pets. Then I return and wipe down the excess slime multiple times. After some time, I then place the items away.

For fun, you should do a video of what your garage door sounds like when it opens and closes before versus after using this lubricant because afterward it'll be significantly quieter. I really think this is a great product.

This worked better than anticipated to do awY with the nerve rattling, unrelenting squeaky door hinge in my 2000 Pontiac. I use it everywhere

Used it to lubricate a metal shutter-- the mechanism now works better but is still not completely smooth. one of the problems is poor penetration into the contacting surfaces, another is the staining.
