I had some big DIY painting jobs coming up now that expert painters are scarce and quotes have soared. Actually don’t mind it at all, I quite love working with paint and getting everything in a new fresh coat while I’ve never had a painter in our various properties that did not disappoint me on some counts. I actually think I'm better and more precise and demanding than most professional painters. So better do the job myself.Yet I did need another taping knife to prepares a cracked top flap ceiling but did delay the purchase as I tend to find them quite expensive, nevertheless without it there is no way I can get the surface straight and flat after repairs. Therefore I somewhat reluctantly bought this one. Was pleasantly surprised by how it was packaged and delivered. As a taping knife it looks very sturdy and durable, the stainless steel blade is slightly flexible and easy to clean. And it has a good grip. I guess it will last for years and be helpful with many paint jobs.Can’t fault it and would recommend even though there are cheaper alternatives -but this seems a quality taping knife.

Just used it for plastering some chased light cable and some badly plastered areas in my lounge...looks pretty good considering I am 75 year old lady!!

Top quality and very handy

We are renovating a property of 70 years with quite poor internal wall quality. Needed something to help apply a ready made skim product to some of the walls. Our Plasterer is in high demand. This tool has helped us to overcome some of those problems.

When skimming with this , it does not give smooth finish as blades does not bend up slightly on angle , creates lines down the middle.

Bought for applying feather finish to floors, works great

Brilliant bit of kit. Very easy to clean very sturdy, doesn’t bend and doesn’t take up much storage.

I use this 24 inches to finish my jobs and believe me it's worth it if you don't have anything as long. I use it for the last coat on patches/repairs and for the last coat on buttjoints. Anyone who says this is too thin is just not being careful with it. I put mine back in the cardboard protector after almost every use and after several weeks it's still works perfectly. If you don't want to spend 150 and up on a tomahawk then that is the way to go. You apply the mud with a shorter knife like a 10 or 12 inches, feather your edges with that same knife or a smaller one and then make a final pass with the 24 inches. Beautiful everytime.

I used it for canvas prepping, so probably not the usual lol, but definitely got the job done. It’s very easy to handle, comfortable. It’s easy to clean. Durable, + you can you it for anything!
