Ok for PLA, but not for PETG.
I was excited about this project due to my frustrations with other heated bed surfaces and the pain of getting larger prints removed. The installation was pretty easy. I used a hole-punch to knock holes over where I have screw heads protruding slightly above bed level, and it worked perfectly. I tried a few test prints using PLA, and it worked quite well. The parts popped right off, but typically PLA parts will pop right off of clean glass too. My true test was with PETG. I printed a few smaller parts, and they were able to be removed after I removed the magnetic surface and let it cool down. However, I tried printing a large surface area print, and it proved to be rather difficult to remove. Slowly I worked around the edges, bit by bit, slowly bending the surface away from the part. Soon I got to about a 2" diameter section that would NOT come undone. I made sure it was fully cooled off to room temperature, and tried using a spatula for a while before I became worried that I was about to cut into the bed material. Finally I decided to give it a sharp impact to see if that would shock it loose. It worked, but at the cost of cracking the top surface of the bed, and pulling it upwards away from the magnetic material. Now there's a "bubble" with a crack at the surface right in the middle of the bed.I can still print around it with small parts, but I'm annoyed that it doesn't work with PETG like I had hoped.(Printed at 225C with 70C bed temp)

Weak Magnetic Hold
Size Purchased: 310x310mmNOTE: This setup uses TWO magnetic surfaces: the base with an adhesive backing, and the top with a (supposedly) easy to print on surface.I purchased this one over others because I usually print in black PLA and the blue bed would have made the prints much more visible.I only print in PLA, with the nozzle at 195 and the bed turned off (set to zero), so the bed temperature would not be an issue. I do print large items however, that cover at least 3/4 the surface.Sadly everything I printed had the following issues, meaning the magnets both surfaces have on them are too weak to maintain contact.Issue 1: The bed would lift at the center sides of the top surface. I attempted to hold the top surface corners down with large binder clips but the center edges still lifted away from the base magnet.Issue 2: Areas under the printed surface would lift away from the base magnet. I would touch it and find small areas had puckered up at the center of the print area.3: Likely due to the above puckering and lifting, the models would not stay adhered to the surface. I even tried hairspray (my old go-to on regular glass beds) and it didn't help.Opinions:1: There appear to be different surface designs and one other post shows a white surface instead of a blue. They may work differently than the size/type I purchased.2: After removing the last print I could see the shape of it THROUGH the underside of the build surfaces magnetic side. (Yes, I made sure my first layer was the right height.) I'm not sure of the cause, but its possible the build surface isn't thick enough or the right material to prevent the heat of the material being laid down from passing into the magnet causing it to lose function in the area. This is printing PLA @195 however, and that is about as low as you should get with the material temperature.

So far so great
I bought this after nearly destroying my heat bed trying to get a print off of it. I destroyed the print instead. This was a quick install. I reprinted with PLA and popped it right off. I also did some prints with PETG. Before printing on the surface, I covered it with yellow masking tape. It worked fine. As a bonus, it came with two complete systems. If I destroy one, there is another. The 220mmx220mm fit my Anet A8 perfectly. I trimmed the corners of the magnet portion to clear the adjuster screws.

Works but remember to relevel your Z axis!
This kit is going to add some thickness to the top of your bed. If you don't level it right, you WILL damage this product. Unfortunately, I'm a scrub and I thought I leveled it correctly but somehow didn't and completely ruined the top platform piece. Luckily it's only $14 so I'm going to order another one and try again!I did, somehow, get a couple small prints in first and it was super handy to just pop off the top magnet and bend it to get the prints off. I'm really digging that technology and can't wait to get it installed again!(And for what's it's worth, I removed the stickered magnet side from my glass bed while it was still warm and 95% of the adhesive came off the glass, so if you're having issues removing it, try doing it when it's warm!)

Pretty good for the price
The layer stuck to the original bed I received is not magnetic at all. I stuck the layers together multiple ways, 90 degree apart as description suggests before sticking down. I did not want labels rotated. After sticking down, I noticed metal screws would stick to bottom of top layer, but not to top of bottom layer. I gave it 4 stars because it is still working well for me. I set my initial layer bed temp to 65 degrees then drop to 50-55. I also set the extruder temp hotter on the initial layer. I noticed that the magnetic grip is lower with higher temps. Lowering the temps after the initial layer was to prevent taller models from pulling the magnet off. It also means it will cool off quicker after pulled off. It peels off the part best when cool.I put this on a Monoprice Maker select IIIP. I cut the corner off where it Z-homes since a raised screw caused the head to press into build surface there.
