Excellent falshlight!
This flashlight solves a variety of problems where I live. I have frequent power outages, so having a reliable flashlight, near at hand, is important to me.I especially like the glow in the dark feature. GITD flashlights often seem to be intended for children; thought of as mere novelties or toys. In my experience, rugged, GITD flashlights are uncommon. There is windowsill directly above my bed. I can leave the flashlight on the sill to charge.Of course, it has all the toughness of any Pelican brand light. I prefer that. I've seen more than one flashlight go to pieces when dropped onto a hard floor. That is not a concern with Pelican-made lights. The clip, magnet, lanyard ring, and lanyard, all add to this flashlight's utility.I haven't camped in many years. If I did, I would definitely take this light along. Allowing it to charge during the day, taking it into my tent at night.I will probably get a second one to keep in my truck. Magnetic flashlights are especially useful when working on, with, or around motor vehicles.

Possibly the best flashlight for welders, weld inspectors and shipyard workers.
I’m a welder who works daily in extremely confined spaces. I needed a magnetic flashlight that could rotate or adjust (thereby doubling as a work light), would be visible when inevitably dropped in the dark, had a belt clip, and could run off of replaceable batteries, preferably AAs. It also needed to have different brightness levels and beam modes. The 3410M met all of those requirements.I chose this flashlight over other right-angle flashlights from Wurkkos, Zebralight, etc. despite this being the “inferior” product. Some of those lights get HOT after extended periods, which presents a fire hazard in my line of work. My employer provides free batteries, so buying my own is not an issue for me. And although I exclusively TIG weld, welders who use MIG or SMAW processes can take comfort in knowing that plastic is more durable against weld spatter and grinding sparks than aluminum.I highly recommend this light to welders or inspectors working in any kind steel fabrication environment. The main beam (600-ish lumens and excellent candela rating) is very surprisingly bright for a AA flashlight and will illuminate fairly distant objects. The flood mode is perfect for detail work. It’s tough, safe and practical. And if your workplace provides free batteries, it’ll cost you nothing to run. While I’ll admit that it’s a bit pricey, it’s worth every penny! I’m so glad I bought it.08/23: Still using this light daily for welding and weld inspection. I’m still very pleased with the light’s brightness and utility—it can always be moved or rotated at the head to view the task at hand when mounted to any steel surface. It’s rugged as hell and handles drops, scrapes and bumps day after day. The large power button is easily accessible when wearing gloves—useful to me as a welder, but also probably appealing to the firefighters and first responders to whom this is marketed. The battery life is less than impressive. On high using Duracell Pro AAs it usually lasts two hours or so. Medium brightness might get me three hours. But as mentioned previously, this is not an issue for me as I get batteries for free.Overall, I’ve found the ideal work light and have no desire to use anything else. Still highly recommended!

I love this flashlight for my needs
First off, this flashlight is bright, much brighter than the last flashlight i had bought. It’s perfect for my early morning bike ride to work, with the right angle position it can be clipped to my backpack so my pathway will be lit and cars can see me.The addition of the magnet on the clip, i have mine magnetized to my mini fridge. My favorite trait of this flashlight is the glow-in-the-dark body.Well worth the money.

Great flashlight!
Love this thing! I use it for automotive use.The light is BRIGHT!! Perfect for servicing maintenance and troubleshooting. The magnet on the clip is very strong. The flex head holds right where I need it to. Ive dropped this light multiple times. Its VERY easy to see in broad daylight and especially at night! Great investment.Battery life is pretty good. For 3 batteries I get around 3 weeks of use. I may try using rechargeable in the future.Overall I am very happy with my purchase! Id recommend it to anyone in as an emergency or daily use flashlight. Thank you Pelican!

Very well built
The best thing about the flashlight is that you can change the batteries with regular AA batteries. I bought some rechargeable ones and I just rotate them out. Normally on battery operated stuff the things that fail are the batteries so if you can eliminate a permanent battery then I think it's better. I also like the settings it has on it, like every other pelican product, it is built like a diesel truck. It actually does glow in the dark quite well, so even if you're in the dark and you're using it, when you turn it off it makes the head of it glow brighter. Great when you're working and set it down that way you don't lose it.Perfect size and incredibly well built.

Does not come with batteries! Otherwise a great light!
A very good flashlight with a strange user interface. It is fairly bright when you have both the spot and flood lights in high. The batteries last a good time, especially on lower outputs. It is a well built and robust light. The magnet is strong. It glows well after charging the photo luminescent body.I would rate it five stars except that the description stated that it comes with AA batteries and it does not. It does operate well on rechargeable AA batteries.
