I bought the "used" remote for $9.24 and received what appears to be a new Frontier FTR P265v3.1 that is identical in configuration to the Verizon FIOS TV remote. I followed the instructions shown on the back of the remote: 1. Turn on TV. 2. Press & hold OK. 3. Press LIVE TV & release both buttons. 4. Press & hold PLAY, until TV turns off. 5. Press OK to save.All the keys for the Set-Top Box worked; however, none of the TV functions worked: TV would not turn on, VOL would not set volume, and the A/V (TV Input) did not function.I have a Samsung QLED Q6DA. After a brief search on the Internet, I discovered instructions to enter 922 after releasing the OK/LIVE TV and before pressing and holding PLAY. TV should then turn off. Press OK to save settings.TV functions now worked. (If this doesn't work for your television, there is also a manual method in the Frontier instructions that require entering a unique television code listed in the instruction booklet.)

Put the two batteries in, pushed and held until the buttons flashed and worked like a charm.It took less than 5 minutes, from un-packaging to using my remote.Great company to do business with.

OK, first, HOW to program it:Press the OK and FiOS TV buttons at the same time. Release both buttons and the red light on the remote will blink twice and stay on. Next, press and release the Play/Pause button once every second until the remote finds the right code and your TV shuts off.The Play/Pause button is right BELOW the blue DVR button.So far the one thing I don't like is the volume button must be pressed and released to raise or lower the volume one notch at a time. My original remote I can press and keep pressed to raise or lower the volume.Unlike what Verizon told me both the new AND the old remote work and the buttons are not faded and contacts are clean on the new remote. And how many times have we all misplaced a remote and seemingly searched for it for days!!!So I keep the old remote in a remote holder for safe keeping.

Great replacement for my old worn out remote... Hrmm maybe I should rethink this purchase. Hahaha
