My grand kids LOVE this play food set! Pan iui a a b iui t heavy but the kids manage fine.

This is a very sturdy wooden cupcake set. The colors are bright and vibrant. The frostings are easily placed on different cupcakes. The cupcake pan is very thick.The one thing that I dislike about the set is the cupcakes are very small but the pan appears to be closer true cupcake size. (For reference- the diameter of the bottom of the cupcake is 1 3/8 inches, and the diameter of the bottom of the cupcake slot on the pan is 2 2/8 inches). It made me think the cupcakes would be more to scale, or at least closer to the size the pan appears to be.Overall this will be a fun set for my girl. She will really enjoy it.

This set it adorable. I love wooden toys and this one seems great right out of the box. The paint is nice and the pieces felt sturdy overall... However, it's been only lightly played with for less than 5 full days and a handle has just fallen off. They seem to be held on with very little glue. Not a huge deal for me, I don't mind repairing it, but when I purchase something I expect it to hold up through reasonable use. Overall the set it still cute and I am still happy with the purchase. I'll go ahead and give it 4 stars for now but will update if/as needed.

My niece loves this wooden play and pretend food set. I gave it to her as a gift and she was so excited to open it. She plays for hours at a time. It's a great toy for her to role play and engage in social interaction with my other niece. She has her younger sister sit at a table and wait until she is done "baking the cupcakes", then she loves to taking them out of the oven tray and serve them! The cupcakes are the perfect size for her small hands. She loves using her imagination. She loves to put on the mitten and pretend the try is very hot. Interestingly, the name of the set is perfect, because her name is also Sofia, just different spelling. This is a great toy for your child to use their imagination. Unfortunately, many toys and entertainment for children now a days, lack the use of creativity. The only negative aspect of buying this product is that she makes me sit there and eat pretend cupcakes for over an hour every time I go over. Like I said, it is a wonderful toy, with a lot of colors, and helps children with imaginative play and creativity.

This is OK. I want to love it more than I do, but the problem I have with it is that the "frosting" and the "muffin" are 2 separate pieces, and the "muffin" fits all the way down into the muffin pan in such a way that you cannot remove it without turning the pan upside down. So you can't take the muffins out one by one, you have to turn it over and tip them out. Kind of makes playing difficult. Kids can't just take the muffin pan out of their oven and give you one muffin straight out of the pan.

These are super cute, colorful and well made. I purchased these for a display and thought they would stand on their own as in the picture advertised. This was not the case. If only the base of the popsicle stick was a bit sturdier, they would have been perfect. I’m keeping them because they really are what I was looking for - I will just need to get creative in making them stand on their own.

Updated: This set has had all of the handles fall off at some point. Wood glue does not hold them. I'm knocking off a star because overall, based on the price, buy the Plan wooden tea set. We've had one of those for years, better quality wood, it's a similar small size, and the handles stay on.Original Review:This is a sweet little tea set. Wooden ones are a bit more challenging to come by, especially with fun colors. Most are plain brown, my daughter was very clear she wanted pink. The tray is a nice touch that a lot of other sets don't come with.The set itself is fairly small. This seems to be a common trend among tea sets that aren't plastic (the ceramic and tin ones also). I really am not sure the purpose of this.Unfortunately the handle on the tea pot broke within a week. I glued it back on, we'll see how long that lasts. I'm weary of the paint also, it does seem like it will chip at some point. It looks nice for now and my daughter was very happy with it. It will get it's fair share of play.The plastic the set was wrapped in also had a very strong smell. Once we unwrapped it though, it seemed to just be the plastic. The smell faded quickly on the set. However, if your're looking for super organic, natural-y natural, this probably isn't the set for you. For good measure, because of the smell and made in China label, I did a couple of quick lead test swabs on a few different parts. All came back negative.It is made in China.
