Very beautiful and most informative book I’ve found!
Very informative! Has amazing pictures of landscaping design, along with easy to read mapping. And has lots of “10 best of the plants/flowers/shrubs” for each zone, and the book also covers every zone and what to plant. Very beautiful book and use it all the time!

Better protection from deer.
I'm not looking to design a garden, just need something utilitarian to grow basic garden that doesn't present a feast for deer. A little hard to find the specific info needed, but contains many deer repelling ideas.

Very informative
We live at the edge of a wooded area full of deer. We soon discovered that deer will eat just about anything and this book will come handy next spring

Spot on!
This book is a quick read which was perfect for my schedule and organized for quick reference. A great selection of deer resistent plants are showcased. I planted many of these plants in my new bed as well as used tips for placement. Three weeks and a few flowers gone but all plants still entacted. Thank you Karen.

For those who have deer in their garden a book of great comfort!
I liked the descriptions of the gardens in US, from different parts and widely differing terrain and climate conditions. There is a very good classification of plants that deer love eating to those most resistant. Rather wordy but I have re-planned my planting as a result of reading the book.

Changed my mind about fencing
The main thing about this book is how to have a garden that is impossible to fence against deer. Erecting a fence in my yard would block off the view. The book encouraged me to remove plants that the deer consistently eat, and give away to grateful friends in the city. It furthermore encouraged me to research deer resistant plants for my zone. Mainly - the book gave me hope that I can have a garden with the rising tide of deer around me.

Good info that the deer will ignore, if they choose to!
Helpful and nice photos but I realized that I prefer real paper for reference books. Also, all the gardens reviewed in the book are pretty much high end and extensive. The plant species are nicely pictured tho’ and that info is relevant to all gardens. If you have a large library of books, this may not add much to your interest.
