PC A Pleased and satisfied customer.
I have spent a lot of money over the past few month regarding electronic padlocks which states they do what they say, all have been a waste of money.I have to put my hands up and say the GeeTouch 3rd generation SMART PADLOCK is the ONLY one which does as it says and is very easy to set up. It is very sturdy, heavy duty and is certainly WATERPROOF.✅ . I am in the process of purchasing my 3rd one and would recommend to anyone who wants a OUTSIDE WATERPROOF pad lock, you don’t have any further. The only downside is the cost, I think this could be looked at in a positive manner.

Poor
Purchased in June 21 to lock a shed. Just thought it was a great idea based on the sales description. Would save me having to find and use a key.Turned out it wasn't quite as easy as they made it sound. I got the idea that you just use your phone to unlock the locks, or your Apple Watch. In reality you have to wake the padlocks up by pressing a button, then return to your phone and open the app. Wait for the app to sync online, then wait again while it connects to the locks (something it often wouldn't do!), then once connected go to the locks on the app and click each lock to tell it to unlock. Another delay and then it should unlock.Repeat for the second lock. In reality it took longer!I never did get it to work with my watch so have no idea why they said it could. The second option was to use an NFC tag that I had on my keyring. So I still had to carry my keys around for this tag.All a bit of a gimmick really but I'd paid for them so might as well use them. But then one of the locks started to play up...locking and unlocking randomly, or not unlocking at all. The final straw for me was when the battery died and had to be powered by an external USB battery pack. Charged it and within a day or so was flat again. Over and over.I suspect it had water ingress, but it was rated for use outside so not good enough. And that seems to be the downside to these type of locks. A normal padlock will work come rain or shine. These electronic locks are very susceptible to water ingress which will destroy it, or cold temperatures which kill the batteries.Sent them back and got a full refund from Amazon.I've had a few bluetooth padlocks over the years. While I think this was one of the better ones it was still very poor when compared to a normal key operated lock. I'm actually a trading locksmith and very open minded to this new tech as one day it will probably be the norm. Manufacturers seem to create poor locks with buggy software and then bring it to market and hope for the best.

Absolute Garbage
Very short battery life - died whilst attached, so had to power up from external usb power pack to open. Tried to make sure it was charged, but lasted from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday morning before it died. Would not power up from external source, totally dead. Had to use bolt cutters to get it off.

Great (no key or combination) Lock
Wanted a lock that did not need lots of keys for family members or a complicated combination dial. This lock is great fir easy access and you can share phone access really easily

works also with 3rd Party tags
it is a bit tricky to add own tags, but it worked. I can open the lock with my "flexNT" implant. A UID from a chip looks like that: 04 4c 43 42 c2 23 80 The log needs this UID numbers: 4c43 If you add an tag, you can type this 4 digits into the field. Know you can open the lock with your own tag.We tried it with the xNT implant - the signal from the lock is to weak. It doesn't work with "mifare desfire" or "mifare classic"Hopefully this helps other people to add their own tags.

Disappointed
Works brilliantly for about a month - such a shame it doesn’t last longer

Solid NFC lock but software is unstable
I wanted a lock to simplify access and share a digital key. Thought this was a good price range. The lock is solid although a little heavy feels secure. The shackle is pressed down to engage power which can be a little difficult if using a thick chain so design lacks a bit here. You press down on the shackle to power on and tap NFC token on to the lock and works well. OK now to the app. After another annoying privacy scrape login the app connects to the lock (eventually) and you can lock it via the screen and get data on the logs for when it was opened and closed and the GPS of this (I assume from your phone) However this is where the fun starts. I am using a Redmi Pro 9 with Android 10Walk up to the lock, press down the shackle and power on and stand there waiting for the app to see the lock. 3-4 tries later if you are lucky it sees the lock and you can unlock. Most times I give up and use the NFC. If you want to use this lock with only a phone you are braver than me I just don't trust it to open it reliably. When it works it works fine but it is so tiresome trying to get it to see the app. Tried it on a Motorola G6 with Android 8 similar experience. For now I will be just be using this as a NFC lock.Would I buy this again .. NO. Spend more money on a brand that tests more and produces an app that works reliably. Security is important but being able to open you lock for me is pretty basic.

Exactly as described
So far so good. Fab little device that works perfectly as I need it to. I am a little worried as to what to do when the battery runs out and hope when the time comes I can sort it x
