Best pudding ever
This was the best Christmas pudding ever! Even my American husband liked it! It came in lovely red box and the pudding itself was in a white pudding basin with a small cotton bonnet to lift it out . My only negative was the pudding was a bit small, but still enough.I microwaved and it was delicious. I'm definitely buying for future Christmases.

Very fruity
Christmas pud was a tradition in our family when growing up. I wanted to add that to my family this year. This is a very rich and fruity mix and brought back some great memories. If you haven’t had one you will be surprised at the density of the pudding. It is solid, and supposed to be that way. I did not have a real steamer so it went in a pot for 3 hours with the lid on, checking water level. It came out great. First time for the kids so it was a new experience for them. Not sure they found it as good as I did, but I was also reliving my childhood. Good chance we will do this again for Xmas 2025 and this brand would be on the list to buy. Also my wife loved the bowl it came in so that has been added to the crockery.

I liked it ... others, not so much
I liked the Christmas pudding. After reading so many stories and watching so many movies that mention figgy pudding, I had to try it. I really liked it. The rest of the family ... not so much. Be aware ... 2 pounds is a pretty big dessert. Six people and we only ate half. Part of that is because it is so dense and heavy. A little goes a long way after a big Christmas dinner.

Delicious as always
I’ve been purchasing one of these for the past few years and they are always excellent.

Overrated
I bought the 2 pound one in a blue box, full disclaimer I’m not English, bought this for Christmas for novelty and because in-laws used to live there/husband studied there. It came in a gorgeous ceramic bowl with a cloth cover, it was really lovely. Steamed in my pressure cooker. Lit the brandy, poured it, very falalala. However after 2 hours of steaming and good brandy lit and poured, I was surprised to find that it is basically a soft raisin bread. I’m not sure what the big deal is, but we had a French buche de Noel and an English pudding and there were no takers for the “pudding.” Brandy butter is a must the same way butter is a must on raisin bread. Otherwise it’s inedible. Just a pot of raisins bound with some flour. Do not buy if you don’t love raisins! I paired it with vanilla ice cream to help make sense of it. But the ratio of raisins to cake is off; each bite is just a spoon of brandy and raisins. overall unless you have strong childhood memories of this stuff, skip it. It has no culinary value, only nostalgic value. People like it because it’s their heritage and that’s fine. But don’t take this to a potluck and expect rave reviews.

YUM YUM YUM!
I’m a Brit raised and living in the US. I grew up on this holiday treat, paired with Bird’s Eye Custard! The location I now live in doesn’t sell any overseas goodies so I always take a chance on a brand ordered on Amazon. This pudding was (note “WAS”, because it didn’t make it to the holidays!) moist and delicious! I’m glad I ordered an extra incase it becomes hard to find nearer to the holidays! Love it!
