Excellent confidence booster for 11+ students
I have read this book and I am impressed with the cartoon interaction this book has inside. This book helps keep the reader both engaged and fun to read, considering how serious the 11+ exam is and will help the reader become a vocabulary champion in days.Throughout this book, the aims are to better help 11+ students improve and have a deeper understanding of vocabulary with key information how to better memorise words and strategies to build vocabulary quickly. Reading this book, I can see that it has an extensive amount of vocabulary throughout with cartoons to keep the reader engaged. The cartoons in this book start at the beginning and continue through to the end.The beginning of the book on page 8 there is a pronunciation guide which basically reflects the pronunciation of a single word in normal speech. This hen goes on showing more details about nouns, adjectives and verbs.Throughout the book there are thousands of words for the reader to trawl through, it not only shows the word but defines what the work is too i.e. is it a noun, verb or an adjective. Alongside this there are cartoons detailing the description of the word and there is also a rhyme with regards to the work too.At the back end of the book there are review exercises where this gives the opportunity to practise what they have learnt throughout the book. sentences with the missing answer where the reader should identify the keyword or phrase that is missing. To ensure the reader has the correct answer the answers are written at the back of the book.My opinion on this book is very positive, this book shows me that it will boosts a reader’s confidence and knowledge about words and correct sentences and will better prepare them for an 11+ exam.

5⭐️ Sense of humour certainly makes learning more fun!
Vocabulary Cartoons I and II are one of the best books out there for learning new vocabulary. Especially for 11+ My son really likes it and so do I😃The rhymes idea is brilliant and really helpful.Cartoons are highly eye-catching, memorable and fun.Cons - 1) some rhymes don’t work in British English. 2) colour would make the book stand out even more.I bought Vocabulary Cartoons I,II and Vocabulary Cartoons Sat I, II.Again, the fist two books are excellent 5⭐️ I strongly recommend both👍On the other hand -the Sat I and II - are good but have lots of words repeated from the previous two books and lots of words are not advanced enough when it was supposed to be more difficult.Hope it helps.

Imagine that! A fun vocabulary lesson!
This is an excellent resource which focusses on keeping learning easy, natural and effective. The comparison between classical, rote-learning, vocabulary books and this method is ___ Great for students studying for the 11+ and those who want to expand their vocabulary. The psychology and science behind this method are explained in the sections “How NOT to memorise words” and “Winning Strategy to build Vocabulary quickly”. This insight allows students to use this method in the future when memorising unknown words.Using connections with knowledge students already have, as every teacher knows, makes it much easier for students to retain the new knowledge. I am so happy to have found a resource for learning English vocabulary that uses visual clues as well! It is quite common when learning other languages (for instance, Chinese and the brilliant book “Stick” by Melanie Schmidt) but until now I hadn’t seen English language vocabulary builders using this method. My students really enjoy the cartoons and have great fun creating their own.Imagine that! A fun vocabulary lesson!

Interactive, fun and educational
This book is an amazing learning tool for any child looking to sit their 11+ exam or SATs, because its interactive, fun and educational. Each child is able to learn the required skills necessary for their test and to help them excel in education. The vocabulary that they are learning will challenge the brightest of students and support those who needs extra help. Each word is used in a sentence with additional cartoon support which makes this book so good. One new vocabulary is introduced on each page, which means it is easy to read and follow and won’t overload a child’s brain. I would definitely recommend this book to any parent, looking to support their child in education.

A really fun study guide!
If, like me, you are trawling through a load of study guides to get your kids ready for the 11Plus, this book will be a breath of fresh air.It really is a huge amount of fun - and the kids absolutely love it!Plus the results have been great. The clever memory recall techniques work better than Icould ever have imagined! This is by far the most effective book for learning and memorising vocabulary that I haveencountered, and one that I highly recommend.

Good for children
I would highly recommended this book for helping children with their English Vocabulary. The level of difficulty is just right and the fact that the situations are illustrated makes it much easier to grasp the meaning of the words.I think it’s a great way to assist with the learning process. For kids of this age it’s much more appealing to learn from a book with pictures. Also it includes examples of synonyms and antonyms which isn’t something I’ve seen in a lot of other vocabulary books. It means that whilst learning one word you can more easily pick up others at the same time for a faster learning experience.Definite thumbs up from me 👍🏻

Brilliant vocabulary book
What a brilliant book at such an affordable cost: I am very pleased with my purchase! As an English teacher, this book provides clear, fun and entertaining visuals: I can’t wait to recommend it to my students. The book was much larger than I expected- which is excellent- as the vocabulary is extensive. Each page is devoted to a word. I like how the book provides strategies, too, for helping to memorise vocabulary. This is a wonderful buy- not just for 11+ students- but for anyone wanting to expand their vocab!
