Great laptop for the price!
Update (14 May 2020):After a month of use, I've grown accustomed to the fan, and my mind generally filters the noise right out. Updating from 4 stars to 5.Still running solid! Several hours on Cities Skylines with lots of mods and assets, and it's still very smooth. Fantastic multitasking machine for general computing. Great laptop for the money.Original review (7 Apr 2020):Great machine! Love the backlight. The fan is a bit loud, but I'm at least confident this thing will stay cool, which ASUS has always been brilliant at. Will update if I run into any issues, but so far this thing lives up to expectations.

Amazing specs for the price; gamers may want better GPU, more storage space, and faster refresh rate
I am reviewing the ASUS ROG G531GT laptop that has the i7-9750 CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, GTX-1650 GPU, 512GB SSD. (Just in case Amazon mixes up reviews.)I bought this primarily for physics research use; it will mainly be used to run Mathematica programs and the like. I did not purchase it for gaming. Also, I've barely used this for a couple hours; I will update this review as I use it more in the coming months. For right now, I will say that for the price, this is a pretty strong computer. The keyboard feels amazing. The materials seem surprisingly sturdy. For what I need, I think this computer will be amazing. However, I would not get it for intense gaming. (That said, this laptop is probably overkill for casual gaming.) You would probably need to be plugged in all the time, and you'll probably also want a stronger graphics card. Depending on your needs, you may also want to get something with more memory space. I got this version and not the one with 1TB HDD added on though because it was 3 pounds lighter and I don't think I will need that much storage space.I will set everything up at my office later tonight and will probably add a picture. However, I am so far quite pleased with my purchase after considering about a dozen possibilities over the last month or so.UPDATE (11/4/19): I have had this laptop for about a week now. I am so far still very happy with how it is performing. There is a nice app built in called the Armoury Crate that is allowing me to observe and tweak the performance of the laptop. (For example, I can view the CPU's current usage, the internal temperature, seamlessly change the keyboard RGB scheme, etc.) By the way, with this fan board underneath the laptop, I've never seen the temperature go over 40 Celsius.I have had zero issues connecting a variety of peripherals to the machine. I'm having fun using an XP-Pen to write on online whiteboards like bitpaper.io for tutoring purposes, for instance. The refresh rate of the screen is a pretty steady 59.97 Hz as described. By the way, the RAM is dual-channel 2x8GB, and it says 15.9GB is usable.

Amazing Laptop for the Price
I say for the price because I had to go a little low this season for my boyfriend. I purchased this for him and it runs amazing. The only downside to it is the storage, but we're opting for a SSD to take care of that.

Good
A decent laptop for it's price, good material and nice keyboard. I only play strategy games and use softwares for Engineering, and this laptop is more than enough. What got my attention is that ad says it's 3 years Mcafee protection which is good deal to buy from them instead of competitors, but I only got 1 year. I will update if seller contacts me.

Laptop motherboard died after 4 years. Customer service is TERRIBLE!
Bought this laptop back in 2019 as a gaming/work laptop. In the past 4 years, I had to send the laptop to asus twice and each time is a nightmare. The laptop is just ok imo, a little overprice for a laptop that does not last long.It gets hot very fast and makes alot of noise. Like Super loud uncomfortable noise when you run anything on decent setting. what is the point of an RTX graphic cards in a laptop if it makes soo much noise. If you are on battery, which last only 40 mins. You run everything on low or medium setting instead of high or ultras. The first time i sent it in to ASUS, i broke the screen and had to pay about 800$ to get it repair. The thing that pissed me off the most was it say 7-10 business days for them to repair and send back. Well i got my laptop back about 3-4 weeks later. The second time which is recently (2 weeks ago). They messed up the serial number with the RMA number and it has been sitting at their location for a week now. They really do not communicate or tell you what is going on with your laptop. After about a week and a half, I had to call them to get a detail update just to find out it is sitting there not being diagnostic because the serial didn't match the RMA number ticket. The lady i spoke to on the phone did not esculate this ticket so they can proceed. Their customer service people call me 3 days later, wasted 35 min on the phone with me asking stupid question like lets run some diagnostic.. I was like i sent it in to get it diagnostic, I do not have the laptop. So she didn't esculate the ticket also, just wasted 35 min of my time. 2 days later, a second customer service rep call me asking about my case if it is resolve. After 25 min on the phone of holding and her checking. They say wait 24-48 hours and did nothing as the ticket is still not esculated. So 2 days later, I call the service center.. turns out the laptop is just sitting there for a full week not doing anything. No one esculated the ticket. The guy on the phone with me FINALLY put in a work order to esculate the ticket. Basically if you dont' constantly call them and check on your status. Your laptop will never get fix.

Very sleek design and is made for everyday use
I love this laptop, and for the price, it makes it a good catch that you can't miss. I love how it can be used for everyday use and allows me to also do a little gaming from time to time. This laptop is amazing and I recommend all to buy.
