READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR PET VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE
I work at a hotel front desk and know the laws about "service animals" basically there is no way for the hotel to verify or even ask for proof of your dog being a service animal according to federal law. This particular vest is nice because you can order different velcro patches, I have some that say "service dog in training" because my dog is a little bit more on the hyper side but she is well behaved enough to not destroy hotel rooms and make her back story I have concocted believable. Doing this is technically illegal but impossible to prove because of discrimination barriers built into ADA laws. I would ask anyone who has a morality flexible enough to use this to only do so if your pet is well behaved and obedient enough for people to BELIEVE it is a service animal or one that is in training, it will make the animal seem more legitimate about being a service animal and you seem like less of a charlatan.Benefits of pretending your dog is a service animal:No pet cleaning fees at hotelshotels are not allowed to turn away "service animals"hotels are only allowed if the animal is trained to do a specific task and ASK if it is a service animal, they may NOT ask for proofYou can get into restricted areas with the service dog vest such as national park lands and monuments, even the park service is not allowed to ask for proof of your "service animal" being legitimate or make you pay pet fees.Tips to making it seem legitimate:Always keep your "service animal" leashed and have good manners on the leash and get them used to wearing the vestBe considerate of others and don't be a dick, if your pet isn't well behaved enough to pass for a "service animal" DON'T DO ITReally try to avoid bringing "service animals" in restaurants, its unnecessary and rudeKeep your dog well trained and keep treats with you to help reinforce good behaviors and training. For those of you who think this is "wrong", consider the fact that our over sensitive legalese culture that protects everyone from being emotionally "offended" makes it possible for this law to be used to the advantage who feels like buying a vest and calling their dog a "service animal". I think I should have a right to bring my well behaved and clean pet to a hotel without being turned away or being charged "pet cleaning fees". My dog is cleaner and more well mannered than actual people and I know that many other people have dogs of a similar nature that could more than pass for a "service animal"

Even TSA was Polite.... American Disabilities Act
Now this is the way to go. Tuffy is a very well trained and friendly dog. Listens well. But he will Bark at things he is uncomfortable with. Like other Service Dog. (Happened as a Lab Service Dog deplaned). The other dog had no Bark,... so they can be trained to surpress barking. TSA routine went very well,... NO issues other than had to take gear off gear and run thru the X-rays...Dog went thru with me.Took "tuffy" from Salt Lake to LAX. Went thru to the Terminal in SLC ,... not one challenge. Sat in the Gate area for an hour + due to weather. All Good. Kids enjoyed petting Tuffy. Then on the Plane, for which I bought a 1st class seat they put me up to the front bulwark. NO room for the Half Shepard/Rhodesian Ridge-back 70LBs to SIT!With a little chat, they gave me a Coach ROW..... DELTA Rocks. We Did the 2 Hour Flight in good order,.... Tuffy on the SEAT. FLt Attendant wanted to know if Tuffy would like some water.....Deplaned and went thru the very busy LAX terminal. NOT one challenge. People smiled...I think that without the Gear I may have had a bunch of challenges but who knows.I think Officials are reluctant to 'mess' with the service dog due to the vague American Disabilities Act which is what gives the right to use the Service Dog in Airports, restaurants and hotels. We checked into the Fess Parker Hilton resort in Santa Barbara, Calf. (It was my Sons wedding)They Accommodate dogs for a $30 charge. When we checked in the reception saw the Gear and took off the previously billed "dog charge".The gear plus the documentation/Registration is the way to go. The Amer. Disabilities Act is not well understood so Airline folks and TSA officials are very courteous.

The Velcro front allows for good sizing adjustments
I have a 80lb Lab, and it fit him, with room to spare. The Velcro front allows for good sizing adjustments, but the narrow band did allow it to slide around on him. The quality of the product appears to be good. We used it over a 4-day camping trip without issue. Being able to add and remove the "Service Dog" placard makes it convenient when taking you dog into certain locations.
