Didn't know how it works!
Never used to replace a chain. Read instructions and figured out it works great to separate a bike chain.Great tool for an amateur!

The chain breaker and pliers worked perfectly. The supplied master links seemed flimsy. I would recommend purchasing brand name links from another supplier.

Easy to use, even for a novice
I just bought my first used recumbent trike and the chain was too long when I shortened the boom, so I bought this set. Fixed it myself in a few minutes. This set makes it SO easy! My bf has ridden for years and he had trouble adjusting his chain with his tool set... so I loaned him mine! Fits easily in my fender bag for any repairs on-the-go. Great value!

Working on restoring an old salsa cutthroat bike that was left in bad shape . Chain was rusted pretty bad . Used chain breaker worked on first try with little effort . Happy to have a great little kit like this .

chain breaker tool fell apart after a couple of uses, read the directions carefully
Been a long time since I had to break a chain to repair a rear bearing. The chain breaking tool did a good job but fell apart after removing the second link. Once I found all the parts I was able to put it back together, but I don't believe it should have fallen apart to begin with. Read the directions carefully on which links to remove if you are new to doing this or it has been a long time.

Easy to use and saved me a bundle
The local bike shop charges over $100 to change a chain. I can buy 2-3 great chains and replace them myself. The kit comes with everything you'll need, except the chain.The explains how to change the chain as you remove the old chain, it is really easy.
