Upholstery Metal Flexible Tack Strip for DIY and professional upholstery edges
I recently purchased the Upholstery Metal Flexible Tack Strip to refinish a set of chairs, and it proved to be an essential component in my upholstery toolkit. This flexible tack strip, measuring 20 feet, was instrumental in achieving professional-quality results, and paired well with a straight upholstery tack strip. Precision and Quality Using this metal flexible tack strip does require some precision. Getting the staples into the tack strip mounting holes and ensuring a consistent fold-over length can be a bit challenging at first. However, I believe this would be true for any similar product. Once you get the hang of it, the results are well worth the effort. The high-quality construction of the tack strip ensures a firm grip on the fabric, making the task manageable and rewarding. Fast Shipping With amazon they provided very fast shipping. The product arrived promptly, allowing me to start my project without any delays. Versatile Combination with Other Tack Strips For my recent project, I combined this metal flexible tack strip with the straight cardboard tack strip from this same supplier to refinish the backs of my dining chairs. The combination of these two products worked beautifully, offering both the rigidity and flexibility needed for different parts of the chairs. This approach allowed me to achieve a nearly professional reupholstered look, all while saving on the costs of hiring a professional upholsterer. Economical and Effective In summary, the House2Home Upholstery Metal Flexible Tack Strip is an excellent choice for anyone looking to undertake upholstery projects. It is economical, easy to use once you get the hang of it, and helps produce clean, professional-looking edges. Whether you are a DIY enthusiast or simply want to refresh your furniture, this tack strip is a valuable addition to your toolkit. I highly recommend it for anyone aiming to achieve high-quality upholstery results without breaking the bank.

Great for the pro
Found this hard to work with. Ended up using a different more manageable style. This is for more experienced people than me. Price was nice.

Exact replacment for existing track on old chairs
I was given two office chairs which had been exposed to the weather causing discoloration and flaking of the varnish. In disassembly I found the back of the chair covering was held in place with this exact type of track material. Removing the old track left it unusable. I found this material on Amazon, looked at a couple of you tube videos on how it use it. I have a pneumatic stapler, and was easily able to drive 3/8 inch arrow staples in the oak frame of the chair to mount the track. I put a slight bend inward to the track with my fingers and pulled the old upholstery down over the pins. Using a wood block and small hammer it was easily driven down into place. The track is flexible enough to follow the curve of the back of the chair. I found that a pair of tin snips made cutting it to proper length a snap. Also the metal in thin enough that if you miss the hole with the stapler it can still drive the staple leg right though the metal.

Sharp edges and thought it would be easier to use than the rigid version… not for beginners!
