The fabric is stiff, out of the package. It is also impermeable to water. I used this in the rain today for about 4 hours and the outer shell gets coated and looks soaked, but you stay dry inside. It manages to breath as well, so you don't feel all that clammy sitting inside of it... though to be fair, I was just walking around doing ordinary errands. Lots of shock cords for the hem and hood that criss cross throughout the jacket. You can even cinch up the hood with your hands in the front pockets... and speaking of pockets... there's a tremendous number of pockets in all sizes... front... back... inside... arms. The stitching is good... not a lot of loose threads and all the seams look good. It is not an overly robust front zipper... and it can be vexing trying to zip it up quickly, but at this price point, its not worth taking away a star. I usually wear a US 2xl and the 4xl size fits with room to spare. Sleeve length is also very good.

I’ve worn this jacket a couple of days now on very windy and snowy days and it keeps me warm! Although I was moving around a bit, the wind stayed out, except around the zipper a bit, but I stayed warm and dry. I’m usually not a fan of hoods because they obstruct my peripheral vision, but I love the convenience of throwing one over my hat to block out the wind from around my neck. Everything seems to be of great quality, but I’m careful with the zippers, but for this price, it’s perfect! I was hesitant to buy this jacket with only one review, but I’m glad I did!

The shark skin material is solid,it feels like it can handle some fall weather for sure.My only complain is the zipper,its already giving me problems out the box.

Great product

Order jacket. received jacket. Opened and almost immediately stuffed back into the bag and generated the return. The zipper is on the LEFT. That's number one. Also, the zipper is really small for a cold weather jacket AND must be mated accurately to the lower zipper or no-go on zipping up the jacket on a cold winter day. Those are deal breakers for me. Quality is what you might expect for the price which is to say better than that price would have gotten you ten years ago but did I mention, it zippers on the LEFT?
