Pureology Colour Stylist Root Lift Spray Hair Mousse

Pureology Root Lift adds volume & body without making your hair too stiff to work with. I apply it to my part as well as at the hairline just below my temples and then style it using a large round brush. It makes it easier to style my hair and produces fuller results. The small lasts quite a while because you only need a small amount for gorgeous looking, managable hair.

I had read about this product in a magazine article...it was an article where they reviewed hair products and listed their top picks. This was one of the top rated products in that article so I thought I'd give it a try. I have thin hair...I apply this product toward the roots while my hair is wet. There is a long nozzle on the can so it is easy to get the product near your scalp. Then I comb it through and blow dry and style as normal. It does give added volume to my hair. My hair can also get oily quickly but this product doesn't add to the oiliness...it probably keeps it from getting oily as quickly... I'm happy with the results.

Don't buy this product.This arrived couple days ago and I used it today. It is completely different formula from the original. The "mousse" is watery, runny, thin in spite of the fact I shook the can vigorously.It smells different, I can tell from the residue on my hand it is not as strong a mousse as the old Pureology.And it looks different once you spray it out into your hand as compared to the older one.I'm giving it a test today and if I later find it works, will get back.But for now it only deserves one star if that much.

This product does everything it advertises and is not scented so I have no worries about clashing scents with shampoo, conditioner, or perfume. Even when my hair was "overgrown" to let some layers grow out, I left for work looking good. The lift holds with humidity, too--we've had weeks of about 90F and rain and while my hair "frizzed", it did not go flat. I will definitely buy again and look for their other products to stop the humidity frizz.

Good formulation and VERY easy to work with. Jury is still out though on whether or not this product actually adds volume to my ROOTS. Which is what I bought it for. I've only used it once so far. Hair DID turn out pretty nice (and I'm letting it grow out from a short pixie....and I have a LOT of thick, heavy hair)....so I think this product must have helped to get and keep some added volume at the roots so that my hair didn't just fall flat on my head like it tends to do when it gets longer due to its thickness and weight. Will keep this bottle and continue to use. Hoping to get good results as my hair gets longer and heavier.

For the price, don't bother. I've used so many different products that I thought were "ok" and did the trick for the most part but was looking for something better. I decided to spend more by purchasing this product after seeing the reviews and it was no better than anything else I had personally used. As a matter of fact, it made my hair dry and kind of fly-away and I do use a professional shampoo and conditioner. I have been a hair stylist all of my life, over 30 years.

I love Pureology products! I especially love this root lift spray mousse -- I can aim it right at the roots and not have to have a hand full of foam to rub through my hair instead of at the roots where I want it. Product arrived on time - great job Amazon!
