Not the same as they used to be....
One initial wash before use and bald spots are appearing on the weave as well as numerous heavy snags. We have owned and used a set of Lamont friction towels for over 20 years and they are only now showing thin spots. Definitely not the same quality product.Ridiculous at the price. So disappointed.

I love this towel.
I have washed this towel more than a dozen times and it is still as good as new. I wash it with other towels, no fabric softener, and hang it to dry (it's a towel). I am very pleased and expect it to last for years.Correction: I have washed this towel DOZENS of times. Amazon informed me that I bout this towel in 2016 when I thought it was 2017. I'm even more impressed!
