Astro 208 ONYX 3-Inch Cut-Off Tool

This is a truly excellent value. I got it in the mail yesterday and spent three hours slicing rotted body panel and bolts off my project truck. I usually hate working with death wheels but the Astro doesn’t feel like it wants to leap out of your hand and attack you. The metal guard is especially great. The whole thing just feels solid, confident, and safe and the best part is that it’s frugal with the air. You don’t need a 40-gallon, double pump setup to run it effectively like I’ve seen with other cutting wheels. Just a great product.

I bought the Astro Onyx 90" die grinder and its inline twin last year (with carbide burrs). Those are very nice air tools.This latest air tool, if possible, is nicer. It has lots of power, fairly quite and built real well. Instead of a cheesy guard it has a nice cast aluminum guard. I like guards since I used them as an extra place to hold the tool while I cut. I may just buy another one of these for my 1/16" 3M cutoffs (buy those too. They outlast the cheap stuff 20:1 or better).

I really enjoy this great buy for the money I use it all the time cutting huck bolts off of semi trucks. Doesn’t bog down at all. Before I used a snap on one and this one is just as good. The only thing I would change is make the overall body longer for a better grip as the snap on had.

Great cut off tool. The wheel didn't last very long but the rest of the tool is great. Bought 2!

This cut-off tool is compact and works perfectly. My son used it to cut off a couple of the exhaust manifold bolts on his car.

Works great, features a solid metal gaurd that some tools skimp on.
