Light, Sturdy, Comfy
Shipped quick and I was grateful for that because I took them right to the field. These are comfortable boots right out of the box. Kept them loose on the first day to break them in and probably should not have since they did end up rubbing on my feet. The nylon upper is a bit noisy at first because it is a hard cloth. I expect that as they are worn that will change. I'm still undecided on the flat laces because they don't slide through the eyelets like cords and makes unlacing and lacing take longer, an time consumer I don't always have. I bought some cord laces to try for comparison to see which one works best for me. What attracted me to the boot is the lace to toe style which is not common in a combat /tactical boot but works well with my feet. The venting holes do allow the boot to breathe which will be welcome come hot weather. Bellville makes lasting issue combat boots, I'm curious to see how these wear over time. Price was better than other brands like Rocky C's. If they work out I hope the style stays around so I can buy another pair.

Excellent boots.
Excellent. Comfortable, top quality. You might want a full size down. I measured my feet and I was 11 inches, from the tip of my big toe to the end of my heel, but these (size 11 N) feel big on the point, and they look too big also. Buy one size smaller.

Developed a very bad squeak in one boot - can't recommend
I liked the boots overall. Very quickly, the right boot developed a bad squeak which changing inserts did not help. It's loud enough that everyone notices when you walk down a hallway. Sounds like I'm stepping on a board. Can't really wear these for anything other than out in the field training. Could never wear operational.

bad quality.
When i first got the boots they were fine for a couple of days. However after a few days of use i noticed that right behind the joint of my left big toe was begging to get way more pressure than the right foot and the bottom of my left foot became inflamed. I removed the insole of both boots and examined them and they were the same but when i felt inside the boot where the joints of my big toes rest the left one was lower than the right. I think when the mid-sole was created an air pocket got in there and after a few days of use gave way now i cant wear them without with the bottom of my left foot becoming inflamed.

Caution - Made in Communist China
I have purchased Belleville Military boots since I boarded years ago. When I bought these, something was different. They are made in Red China. I shop Belleville because they are an American firm. Going right back to where they came.

Poorly constructed
The heel is not firmly connected to the rest of the boot. Both heels have space from where your foot rests to where the sole starts in the heel. Makes squeaks with every step. Thought that after a year of owning these, they might stop the squeaking, but it is only getting worse. I would return these if I could.

Replacing the insoles with a better one seems to average out the size difference
Doesn't require much break in time. However, it does run about 1/2 size too large. Replacing the insoles with a better one seems to average out the size difference.
